This is a really nice restaurant hiding at side of the building. Nice ambiance over look Brisbane River and Story Bridge. Very small menu but taste really nice. Worth to try.

This was a casual drink on a Friday with bar food, not the degustation in the restaurant. Given that, we enjoyed the food and service more than our last meal here, service was very attentive. The wine list is really comprehensive and significantly better than most bars. Regarding the food anything off the coal grill is fantastic. Octopus was a... More

One thing that is obvious from other reviews of this restaurant is that polarises people, even those with wide dining experience .This restaurant has achieved legendary status in the food press but is less popular with the average Diner probably because it challenges you in ways you may not want to be challenged. We recently had lunch here twice in... More

The food is incredible (fresh highly marbled wagyu beef on dried wagyu beef with a smear of hollandaise!!!), staff are knowledgable and attentive and the view is wonderful. What else could you ask for in a fine dining establishment - not much!! Esquire has it all.

Business lunch with a valued long term client on a balmy Friday afternoon by the river, hard to go wrong with that start. Food was simple and well prepared with minimal fuss. The wine list is broad but not unapproachable, if a wee bit on the expensive side.

Had truly great food. At Esquire and cannot fault the kitchen and chefs. Memorable combinations of flavours . Ambience a bit confused. Not really a romantic dinner venue and not really a bustling friends night out venue either. Service not particularly friendly though not notably poor either. Just didnt have the feeling of being particularly welcome- which is a shame.Maybe... More

When we arrived we were told that we booked a degustation dinner. I was surprised, did not recall and told the manager that we have a child who would not eat degustation. Thus we could not have booked it. The manager relented. We said we would consider the degustation menu anyway. When we looked at the degustation menu we thought... More

Started well, with some interesting and tasty options. But by the time we got 3/4 of the way through it made a crash landing!! A slab of sous vide lamb and dried basil (that was it) and the dessert which was ridiculous (and not in a good way) - the burnt grapes was so disgusting my mouth was still scraping... More

A few nice dishes and a couple of nice wines, but ultimately it is disgraceful to charge 3 people over $800 for a few sips of poorly matched wines, with so many below par dishes. Restaurant is dim and extremely cold, service good but just can't get passed the appalling food experience. Highlight was the tomato dish, the inedible dishes... More

The restaraunt was hard to find, after asking about 6 people on the street, we found it. While waiting for friends, 3 drinkwaiters walked past and ignored us. Food, ??? Have had the best and now I have had one of the worst and paid dearly for the experience. Service left a lot to be desired, you do not serve... More
