We had a group meal here on Wednesday night and we were a bit early as a storm changed our plans. The restaurant accommodated us, and served the most delicious food. And what a view! Can recommend to locals and travellers alike, Brilliant.

We booked a Saturday lunch to celebrate our engagement. We decided to go all out to celebrate and chose a bottle of Sem Sav Blanc from the menu which was a fantastic start. We got the bread to share (good serve for $9) followed by one pork entree. It was the best pork I've ever eaten. Portion was small but... More

My husband and I travelled to Brisbane for a few days, and during our stay we arranged to have lunch at Aquitaine. What a fabulous experience. the food was fantastic, the service was exceptional and the weather just added to the experience. We sat on the edge of the restaurant to get the lovely, cooling river breeze, sipped our champagne... More

Great food and quite good value (charcuterie plate was fantastic value for the price!). Some minor issues with service (one of our sides was incorrect and postmix needed to be changed. Apart from that we had a lovely dinner. We were too full to try dessert!

There were very few diners at lunch which ensured efficient service. We chose the confit duck share dish that advertised a 30 minute wait so some champagne in the sun with a portion of excellent duck liver parfait help that time fly past. The duck came in 4 full leg portions and was delicious. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable lunch.

For an upmarket !! restaurant the Aquitaine Brasserie should be removed from South Bank bank of restaurants. We when there on a Friday night with a large group of people which were pre booked. We had to select our meals (even fish of the day !! so fish of the day is not fish of the day but week) a... More

I went to this restaurant twice last year and loved it. The food was so beautifully presented and the flavours were fresh and clean. The views of the river are very lovely at this nice quite part of the river. I went last night to treat my mum and the dishes were average to horrible while the service was variable. The... More

You were expecting something French and nice, and not at all. The service is quite unfriendly and it was suppose to revalidate your parking ticket after a certain amount you spent but they try not to do it. Do not recommend.

Went here mid week to celebrate a special occasion. A lovely location at the downstream end of South Bank with views across the river to the city. We chose to travel to and from using the River Cat thus avoiding parking in the area and the evening traffic congestion. Seating is outdoor under cover and even though it was October,... More

Description
ABOUT AQUITAINE BRASSERIE Inspired by L'Aquitaine in South West France, this river side dining experience brings together a journey from the Farm House to the Champs Elysees. The contemporary French menu is based on classic French recipes and is brought to life with fresh local produce and modern cooking techniques. Our Head Chef Sam Lonsdale has created a perfectly balanced menu that will appeal to all discerning diners. The wine list intrigues with the positioning of French and local wines together in a regional styles, categorised by palate characteristics rather than varietals. The cocktail list and spirit selection has a real French influence, while Aquitaine maintains an agreement to see direct importing of French produced Kronenbourg draft beer. Aquitaine sits between Popolo Italian Kitchen and Stokehouse Q at River Quay, South Bank, Brisbane and ads a real touch of French class to this thriving riviera.
