The choices of foods for breakfast were not that great. You had standard savoury foods, cereals, dried fruits, a small selection of baked foods and tea and coffee. No pancakes or similar.

We had breakfast at this restaurant at the insistence of my son who wanted to try the hotel buffet breakfast. He was staying around the corner with his partner and I was a hotel guest. At over $30 per head not great value and with very limited choices. I guess I have been spoiled by the many Buffet Breakfasts I... More

Breakfast buffet is what you would expect of a good breakfast buffet without anything over the top. Hats off to them for offering a choice of a light buffet for about $5 less than the full buffet. It is very much self service (get your own juice, coffee, water, etc) and the wait staff tend to be more bus staff.... More

The variety. Being lactose intolerant the offer of just cereal, yoghurt etc can be limiting. No such thing here pancakes, fruit juices, 3 kinds of eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, snags, donuts, cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt, muesli, coffee, pastries, plenty of all for everyone. Topped up regularly.

Went there on a Friday Night had the Paella it was seafood/with fish, it was gluggy like a risotto coming from a family member that knows Paella putting a lid and serving Paella with a glass lid will lead to gluggy risotto rice. Putting a table cloth like they do in the Chinese restaurants on some of the dishes will... More

The entres were good size and value for money , I had barramundi for the main dish and it was on top of some kipler potatoes which I love however some green vegies would have been a good addition. My friends steak was over cooked. The sweets were delicious and my friend was given the sweets free as the steak was... More

I stay at the mercure regularly so the Quays is a natural choice for dinner, especially after a long day. However, the menu is very limited and the food often takes far too long to arrive. Drinks are ordered from the bar by the waiting staff and take an age to arrive. On the plus side, the breakfast is very... More

We attended the ARRA Convention being held at this hotel (Mecure) the first weekend in March. Quays, the restaurant, is horrid. I went there for breakfast with my friends to find chucks of cardboard in my mushrooms! The waitress (when I finally flagged her down) just took the plate away and offered nothing (money back or otherwise as compensation). I... More

We went to quays restaurant for our anniversary dinner and everything from the service to the seafood was exceptional. The staff were efficient in their service and advice and the bottle of wine chosen by the manager for us was wonderful. They even went to the trouble of doing a platter of sweets for our anniversary which was a lovely thought.... More
