Have eaten here on both my recent trips to Brisbane. The first time we had a platter for 6 people and we were so well fed that we practically rolled back to the hotel. The last rip we were a little more reserved and had set meals. The food is delicious, and very enjoyable. The service is extremely efficient. The... More

Family catch-up - had mixed dip platter and meat platter to share with a bottle of wine. Both dishes delicious and good value for money. Would recommend!!

We didnt make a reservation on a Friday night to dine at Ahmets, but we were lucky enough to get a table after a short wait. Walking through the restaurant you could smell the lamb and chicken cooking on the grill, and the decor made you feel that you walked straight off an Istanbul street and sit down for a... More

To be honest- nothing was particularly amazing at Ahmet's, but the service was good. We were in a hurry to catch a show and we were out by our goal departure time. They will upsize you on the breads if they can, and the bread is good and made on site. The olive tapenade was great, homus not so great,... More

I know this place had had a rough time with food inspectors but I have never had an issue with the food. The food is always nice and the staff attentive. Generally i go in a group. the only complaint I have is the price for the amount of food. It is pricey but they have a monopoly if you... More

I was in Brisbane for a conference and my dad jumped on the train up from Gold Coast to have dinner and the South Brisbane train station is a good starting point for all the options at Southbank. We both like something a bit different and liked the look of the menu at Ahmet's. It was only early on a... More

The char grilled skewer plates and turkish bread with dips are the best in town.. Awesome decor and ambience, topped with Brisbane's great south bank location make for a great dining experience.

2 adults and 2 kids on a sunday afternoon and we really enjoyed it. The lamb cutlets were succulent and spicy but not hot. They need to offer more gluten free menu choices and only 2 choices for kids are not enough. One child ( GF celiac) had to have salad :( and was not happy,...overall a good choice for... More

Visited Ahmed's for an early lunch on a Saturday. Decided on several Mezze plates. The whiting was superb as where the lamb cutlets. Hummus was delicious with lavash bread. The Ataturks Revenge cocktail and the sour cherry juice where both refreshing. The decor was lovely and the staff friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend and can't wait to visit again.

Delicious food with generous servings. Started with the garlic Turkish bread and then we ordered a variety of dishes to share ~ zucchini fritters, mussels, calamari and a plate of mixed kebabs. The only downside was the noise inside which made it difficult to talk. Musicians were wandering around creating a lovely ambiance and the belly dancer was terrific. Great... More
