I am afraid i was tricked by many good comments on Tripadvisor. it did not look nor taste authentic Japanese to me. dishes are thrown behind the sushi counter and left as is. old plates are piling up with food in it, and pieces of fish were left at tleast 20mn on the board before being cut or stored back... I went with a friend for lunch & to have a good catch up. We both love Japanese food & this was no exception. Service was fast & friendly & we enjoyed ourselves.

Excellent and friendly service. We both had a sashimi platter. Very fresh and tasty. Other meals coming out looked good too. Want to back for tempura. Reasonably priced and an extensive menu to choose from. Small wine menu but the Pinot Gris complemented our meal well. Decor is a bit dated and some background music would have been nice. Seems... We found this lovely gem on the evening of River Fire this year. We ordered takeaway and headed back to our hotel. A month later I was in town with my daughter and we decided to eat in after a work function. The food is authentic, fresh and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is also pretty authentic! We have travelled to... More

We ate at Oshin three times in our stay in Brisbane and it really is a gem tucked away in the CBD. The upstairs restaurant is perhaps a little cozy but we enjoyed it all the same. Would certainly reccomend if you're passing through and looking for some good sashimi!

I have had the pleasure of dining here many times over the years. It is consistently good and, importantly, authentic. The quality of the food is exceptional but without the price hikes that one often experiences with other Japanese restaurants. The fact that it's frequented by Japanese nationals says it all. Having visited Japan a couple of times, I can... More

My parents and I had a delicious dinner at Oshin. For starters, we shared a large sashimi platter, "Oshin" rolls, spicy tuna rolls and hot cooked salmon rolls and were so impressed by how fresh and tasty these were. As a mains I had a bento box with teriyaki chicken and tempura which was pretty good too, the accompanying miso... More

It had been a long time since dining here, I once was here quiet often where there would be many Japanese dining also, I generally find a great sign. Value for money for the FRESHNESS and taste of food is great value for Brisbane City CBD dining. This is a place that has its own old world charm... old world... More

This Japanese restaurant has been party of the Brisbane CBD well before sushi or miso soup became fashionable or mainstream. It is an elegant little restaurant with lovely service and well priced tasty and authentic Japanese food. Highly recommended.

Used to go this Japanese restaurant when on business years ago. This trip was a break and visiting Oshin is just another experience in quality Japanese food without the absorbant prices others charge. The set menus are great value as the food is prepared with care and quality ingredients.
