Randomly chose to have a quick lunch at Odyssey on the Strand on a recent Monday public holiday after walking along the lovely Strand. The eatery was busy and we waited at the entrance to be seated as the sign requested. It took some minutes for someone to come over to us, and another couple waiting behind us were also... More

Everything about it looked Greek but not a very Greek menu ! The mango smoothie with yoghurt was fabulous but the nachos ordinary. While an extensive list of dishes are on the menu, lots are toasted sandwiches, burgers and expensive main meals. Overall an over priced lunch venue.

Had some delicious dips and good calamari salad for dinner. Nice people. Returned for breakfast but it was not as good, bit disappointed, sausages were horrible. Bacon tough.

We arrived without a reservation, and despite being booked out for a function, they made room for us under a side balcony. Food was very tasty, meal sizes were generous and we also got to enjoy the live music booked for the function while looking out over the Strand

Large menu with lots of options. I had the vegetable stack with smoked salmon and it was a very large portion. Coffee was good. Parking was easy with the jezzine barrack carpark across the road (compared to other strand restaurants with limited parking). Right across the road from rockpool.

... being a black coffee drinker I'm pretty fussy about my coffee and this is definitely the worst coffee I've had in Townsville without exception. Bitter dishwater. And yes I mentioned it once. A pity because I won't go there now and their food really is enjoyable in a lovely location.

After being knocked back at the cafe across the road for brunch, we came to Odyssey with friends from Sydney. The cafe was packed out and the food took some time but everything was absolutely beautiful. We have eaten here on several occasions and nothing is too much trouble. All the staff are lovely. I believe they are starting to... More
