We were here for a week and one night it was open and it ended up being a big night, the snacks are good, staff are average, pizzas & Burgers are good too, Unfortunately they tell everyone its being refurbished but its not, the management are to tight to open up all the food places during low occupancy so be... We were only on Fraser Island three nights so did all three dining places. The Sand Bar is a great alternative if you want to eat hamburgers, pizza etc. The pizzas are exceptionally tasty and the burgers huge! Great location with a pool and games area. Very relaxed dining and drinking with a great outlook.

I was really recommend people to bring their own food to cook themselves to Fraser if possible. We didn't realise the restaurants would be so disappointing. The Sand Bar was the best of a bad bunch, with very overpriced, dry, bland meals. The burger I had was so dry I could barely eat it. The shop at Kingfisher doesn't stock... More

Service was good, food average, staff very friendly. Outdoor seating near the pool very pleasant, but the music was far too loud. No where else to get lunch so had to put up with loud music and noisy children.

We've always had a great time coming here, having a few drinks and pizza. It's a great place to rest they have a swimming pool and a free hot shower for all. Kids can also have fun and play around.

We stopped by the Sand Bar daily during our 3-day stay at King Fisher Bay Resort. I found their cappuccinos were better than the self-serve machine ones at the Maheno breakfast buffet. The best part is the location - on the beach next to the pier so you can watch the hustle and bustle of people, vehicles, and ships coming... More

The two restaurants in the main Kingfisher complex are exceedingly pricey, so thankfully the Sandbar exists. Great food at reasonable prices. Worth the five minute walk.

We ate dinner here one evening during our stay at Kingfisher. The setting is lovely and only a short stroll to the jetty for sunset viewing. The staff were lovely and a real credit to the establishment. The food however was very 'average' but perhaps we set our standards a little high. Swimming pools looked very inviting. Did enjoy our... Good is ok and reasonably priced considering the other options available . We stayed at Kingfisher and tried to order via telephone only to have the phone unanswered and waiting for an hour to have a pizza cooked. Also overheard staff swearing which was disappointing

Right on the water's edge, this bar has picnic tables on a deck where one can sit and enjoy a drink and the sun setting over the bay. Very casual, and crowded, but enjoyable.

Combine The Sand Bar's Bistro casual dining experience with its stunning bush location and you've got a recipe for success. The Sand Bar's spacious decks allow glimpses of the Great Sandy Strait and poolside dining offers a taste of the Aussie lifestyle. The Sand Bar's made-to-order pizza and bistro menu hits the spot after a morning in the great outdoors... and best of all it's only a hop, skip and jump to two of the resort's inviting pools and a short stroll to the beach. Picnic in the trees and soak up the birdsong, down a cool drink in the shady deck or keep the kids amused in The Sand Bar's gaming arcade. The Sand Bar is perfect for a quick meal after a day's fun on the water. The Sand Bar is open seasonally, so in off peak and low occupancy times, it may not be operating.
