This is a great, scenic restaurant with many nteresting choices on the menu. The staff is very attentive, and knowledgeable about all the dishes and local wine selections. The venue is lovely and this is truly a place for fine dining.

The waiting staff were lovely people and very attentive perhaps partly because it was a Monday night and fairly quiet. However the food was beautifully presented and delicious! No complaints from our table of five. In view of the quality the pricing was reasonable. The view at night was nothing memorable - imagine it would be more interesting during daylight... More

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Red Ochre. We'd booked a table and were pleased to be seated by the window with a beautiful view. We had a wonderful steak, delicious barramunda and some great desserts. The coffee was also good. The table service was very attentive, although it wasn't full. The food wasnt cheap but great quality. We'd... More

Warm welcome vibe from all staff. Chef's cooked amazing meals with a great use of local bush tucker. Julian gave us outstanding service, to help us select from the menu, top up drinks and ensure we were always waited on. Meals arrived swiftly and they went one extra step to deliver some complimentary (and unexpected) b'day rumballs, much appreciated &... More

Firstly the food was excellent. Our table was right next to the POS system where the staff congregated and were tapping away all night. - not good when you are trying to have a romantic dinner for 2. Our waiter did not know anything about wines and could not recommend any wine. She could have offered a splash in a... More

After reading all the great reviews we thought we would try Red Ochre for our wedding anniversary. When we arrived we were standing around awkwardly whilst waiters rushed passed waiting for someone to greet us and be seated. Our meals got off to a great start, the crocodile ribs and pork belly entrees were delicious, generous and perfectly cooked. After... More

A top end establishment with reasonable food prices seems a contradiction in terms, but this is what you get with the Red Ochre. The Australian themed food is simply superb, and the staff excellent – attentive without being annoying. This restaurant is a participant in the Festival of Food, a free app which gives a reduced cost 3 course meal... More

Not your usual quick nosh joint loaded with chips to fill you up, no this establishment is a welcome place of fine dining. Everything was done under the meticulous watchful eye of the matre di, was surprised that they accepted the entertainment card but it saved $70.00 of the bill of $364.00, good value. My wife is somewhat of a... More

Australias long standing fascination with and willingness to embrace its unique “bushfood” ingredients can be traced back to the arrival of the first European explorers and settlers. And still despite numerous fads and periods of popularity “bushfoods” have never managed to successfully make the leap into mainstream acceptance and usage within the restaurant industry or our daily diets. The mid... More

We took some Australian friends here for a special thank you dinner, and while the food was good (the entrees were outstanding, especially the brisket balls, but the mains were merely average), the service was so bad that the waiter actually came to apologize for how long our main courses were taking, and brought us free bread. But then when... More
