Decided to check out the chocolate here. While it might seem to be on the pricey side, the chocolate here is some of the best I've ever tasted with quite a range of different choices. Staff were friendly and keen to give samples for us to try out.

Haigh's chocolates are made in South Australia. Although these days you can buy them elsewhere, there is nothing like going to the source. Haigh's are still Australia's best chocolates. They are a bit of a luxury, but these chocolates are worth the little extra money.

A South Australian Family business from May 1915 is iconic and synonymous with fine chocolates both in Australia and Overseas. Their flagship store is on the Beehive Corner on Rundle Mall and King William Street where they have been located since 1922.
Their shop windows are always displayed extremely well, and might I say inviting! The main festive seasons of the year feature - Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day and the busiest time of the year Christmas. And in between, Haighs never miss a beat with eye catching displays.
Even with many customers in this store, the staff are always pleasant, friendly and, apart from COVID19 restrictions, will always offer a sampling - although even now you can ask and "ye shall receive".
I always enjoy entering Haighs firstly for that enticing aroma of chocolate and secondly because it is fun looking through the entire range to see what the purchase/s for the day may be. But then there is the very difficult decision of what to buy. Shall it be the Cinema Mix, the Chocolate Macadamias, the milk chocolate Murray Cod, a Bilby or the traditional chocolate frog in milk, dark and mint chocolate?
If, in the case of not being able to find what I may be looking for, the staff are always willing to assist and offer suggestions of similar alternatives.
Although not the cheapest of chocolates, the quality is superb and never fails to meet high standards. Backed with knowledgeable, friendly staff, this is one shopping experience I enjoy.
Return? This is a given and also to purchase between festive periods. Anyone for chocolate macadamia nuts?

Each Christmas and Easter I send chocolates and treats and they always arrive in perfect condition. My family just love receiving these and have started ording for themselves. The Visitor Centre on Greenhill Road is a must visit, so take your visitors there for an experience they won't forget. Always something to sample for free!

It is difficult to go to Adelaide CBD or down Rundle Mall and not stop by at Haigh's...
We always leave the shop with an armful of boxes and bags of chocolates of the finest quality. That is always due to the friendly, polite and professional staff, always ready to help, offer a taste of a new product, or just the nice bit of milk chocolate with a friendly smile.
We highly recommend Haigh's to anyone, you will not leave disappointed - guaranteed!

Not cheap chocolate but the taste is worth the cost! Whenever I’m in the city I visit Haigh’s chocolates for a treat and I’ve also purchased gifts from here. I like to support this Adelaide business. I love the old historical building on the corner of Rundle mall. Having been to the Haigh’s factory on Grenfell st and watching the production of the chocolates being made makes it even more appealing. Last year I purchased Cardamon chocolate from Haigh’s to take with me to Finland for gifts and this year I plan to do the same.

What a great place this is. Wonderful tasting chocolates with a huge variety and novelty chocolate frog etc shapes. What I love about this company is that when you buy something they always give you a free tasting!

Since the 1930's the company have been making chocolate frogs. They taste great. The free tour lasted about 40 mins and needed to be pre booked, the guide was knowledgeable and chocolate is heaven. After the tour there is plenty of time to purchase someproduct there was no pressure at all.

Haig chocolates have a working chocolate factory at Parkside which you can visit & book a tour.
The chocolate is delicious & the tour really informative. When you finish the tour you can browse the shop for tasty treats, you don’t have to do a tour to visit the Parkside store just visit any of the stores scattered around Adelaide.

Haighs chocolate has been a family tradition at Christmas for many years in my family. The variety of chocolate treats is immense, and at Christmas there are special Christmassy treats to enjoy. Haighs chocolate is the very best in Australia and a visit to one of their stores is a treat in itself.

Being born & living in South Australia most of my 74 years I have sampled chocolates from Haigh's.
I have also experienced chocolate suppliers from overseas.
In my opinion no other brand of chocolate is equal to Haigh's quality.

You definitely have to try Haigh’s chocolates. They have a main shop where you can take a tour or you can stop in at their store near the Rundle Mall/Adelaide Arcade. You can also find their stores in other parts of the country. The chocolate is a very good quality and prices reasonable. Our favorites were the Raspberry Cream and Coconut Square, which were both milk chocolates. While you’re there, pick up some of their free recipes.

Well you just can't drive/walk past the delicious aroma of chocolate. We always buy the children (big and little) some choices for the stockings at this time (actually at other times too 😉). Good place to visit if you want too see chocolate production in operation. Go to the Greenhill Rd, Parkside factory but ring to book.
Other city outlets in Rundle Mall and at the end of Adelaide Arcade and some other suburban locations.
Haighs choccies are not to be missed. Resistance is futile!

If you're in Adelaide, you have to try Haigh's chocolate. Their chocolate truffles are some of the best I've ever had. The shop is a bit small and the staff aren't as friendly as I expected, but I can ignore all that because the chocolate is delightful. I wished I'd bought another box of truffles to bring back to Brisbane!

Expensive but the best chocolate in Australia without a doubt.
Free tasting with any purchase. Only a shop front in the city (2 locations) however there is the outlet and factory just outside the city on Greenhill Road where you can book a free, small tour.
They always do beautiful Christmas, Easter etc. items.
