The local marron (fresh water crayfish or lobster) were recommended and we are very pleased we made the effort to travel to the restaurant. We had the hot marron option which was excellent and those having the cold platter also raved about it. The attached winery supplies some lovely wine to have with your meal and there are some great... More

We went to the cafe ONLY because we knew they had the marron - and we were'nt disappointed! We went for the huge platter with lots of seaffood on it - and we were very pleased with everything! It turns out we were the first ones visiting from Denmark, so we got to see the tanks with all the marrons,... More

Dropped in for a quick lunch and really enjoyed the $92 marron/seafood platter for two. Very filling and well worth the money. The starter pate was awesome! The chef Amanda and our waitress Linda were very friendly and helpful! Would not hesitate to recommend it , well worth the visit!

Interesting place to visit and be shown around the various tanks / stages in the life cycle of the Marron. Understand it can take 3 - 4 years for the Marron to mature and reach your dinner plate. There is also a winery on the farm and an opportunity to purchase after tasting.

We had read such great things about this place so made a special detour to visit. I couldn't wait to try the local specialty! So when we arrived at 3pm and were told that the only thing available was coffee and cake, I was devastated. We double checked the flyer and the opening hours are apparently til 4.30pm (no mention... After a fun morning in Flinders National Park, we stopped for a tour of a Marron farm, followed by a delicious lunch of chicken pesto linguini accompanied by a Two Wheelers wine. Interesting tour of the marron tanks, with different sizes of marrons. Friendly staff-nice place to visit..

We checked out the marron tanks first with an interesting and personal explanation. Tasted the wines (loved the whites particularly) before having lunch. Bought a bottle to go with the lunch. Food was tasty and fresh. Everyone was friendly. Service quick. A real country experience.
