Having been away for a few weeks the lively smells coming from this restaurant inticed us to visit the following night. However every dish we ordered had the same underlying sauce, flavour and texture. We ordered 4 dishes and they all tasted about the same (and looked the same too). We cook our own curries back home and have been... More

Thanks for your response. Could you please tell us specifically what dishes did you order? we will have a look into that. But for your information, Indian curries which are medium hot and hot, most of them have a base of onions and tomatoes. As mentioned in your reviews, good flavours enticed you to come to our restaurant, which acknowledges that we... More

Came across this restaurant by chance, and were glad we did. On the way there in the evening we asked the opinion of a house owner nearby, and they sang it's praises, saying they ate there all the time. Good menu, good food, service and staff. VERY GOOD.

The entrance from the street is a bit weird and off-putting but once you're in, it's a delight. Friendly fast service, comprehensive menu, really good flavours in all their dishes and reasonable prices. It's licensed - the wine list is average - and the ambience is average too. But yes, we're coming back for sure.

My family visited Magic Curries for an early weekend dinner. The food was delicious and arrived quickly to my hungry hoard. The stuffed Naan was new to me and delicious, as were the three curries we chose for a hungry family of 5. With rice, naan ant roti there was plenty to eat. The service was friendly and efficient. The... More

The food was so delicious - no left overs. The staff are lovely and it's a nice walk to Battery Point from Hobart where the restaurant is located.

We were greeted and waited on by very friendly young ladies. Service was good and the food came quickly and was delicious. There were a couple of Tasmanian Wines on the menu - the Sauvigonon Blanc we chose was really good. Reasonably priced. Overall we really enjoyed this restaurant.

Hidden away in Hobart Magic curry is a great curry house worth a visit. The restaurant is small and cramped (hot on a summers evening) but if you love curry the pay a visit. Quick fast service and good food at a reasonable price.

This rates as the best curry we have had, and we've had plenty. Our friend even had "Butter Chicken"...the flavours were stunning. Fantastic service, lovely atmosphere, but most of all the food was stunning.
