We stopped there for lunch. The venue is good very welcoming but the choice of cakes etc quite expensive. A pork and fennel sausage roll $14 served to the table. The soup was nice but the bread with it was average. Better bakeries in town.

Had lunch here. Delicious light savoury meal (pumpkin pastry) and very nice dessert (lemon lime tart, clafoutis). Coffees were good. Service was excellent. Although quite busy and tables quite close together, we did not feel hemmed in and could still talk. The food display cases...More

This has to be the best place to sit down and enjoy a coffee and a cake! My mother had been before, I'm just surprised I've only discovered this gem now. Everyone needs to go and experience the sheer delight!

As I said, the sweeties and cakes were excellent but the premises need an upgrade. Difficult seating and counter service. Worth a visit. Pick your times. Cakes are excellent!

Hi Judy, Thank you so much for dropping the photograph in that day. It was wonderful to hear about your ancestors as we had wondered so much about the olden days of the Federal Coffee Palace. Thanks for sharing the story... More
