As I work just up the road, I frequent this place for dinner. I absolutely love the curries I have tried, esp Aloo Tikki Chat - do yourself a favour and try this authentic dish. You won't be disappointed! Cheap, delicious and great service - what more could you want?!

Simply the best authentic Indian food, sit down tables and take away. Very friendly helpful service, reflects the Sikh idea of community care so well! During our vsisit to Hoabrt, we were looking for a pure vegetarian food outlet and we could not have found a better place than the Soup Stop. They have a range of traditional Indian street foods, the main course dishes and special soups. We tried few of these dishes and all if them tasted really nice. I am sure whenever... More

The "street food" is great; the soup incredible; the Sikh couple who run it friendly and generous; the prices moderate. We loved it.

We were looking for a spot to rest our frozen paws and grab a bite on our return flight from Mount Wellington. On our way we spotted the Soup Stop. Quaint and unassuming. We entered expecting to dine on soups. But when we entered we saw some very unconventional Indian treats that have been favourites. We ordered the masala chips... More

A vibrant eating place located very close to Hobart City Centre.

We offer warm, nourishing soups, a range of traditional and contemporary Indian food, and some of the best hot and cold drinks in town.

The soup menu is truly impressive. All are hearty soups which fill the spot. They are full of natural ingredients and provide a great healthy option for any meal throughout the day.

We are also known for our tapas-style Street Food of India menu, a selection of lip-smacking roadside dishes from all corners of the subcontinent. We are excited to be the first and only place in Hobart to offer this lively genre of Indian Cuisine.

We look forward to seeing you here.
