The food was average but large servings. The karaage was dry with only a slice of lemon to accompany it. The food was satisfying if you're on a budget. The Junmai Sake was nice even if the staff had no idea that they had it.

I liked it, I really did but warm goon disguised as SAKI..... stop it. As I stared down at the withered shreds of what once appeared to be sushi-inspired seaweed, I thought to myself not even VB can salvage this dinner like a buddy franklin consolation 6 pointer 3 minutes from the final siren. Just like simba said to tamon... More

Stopped here in my lunch break at uni. Cheap sushi that was yummy! I had the crispy chicken and teriyaki beef which I loved. I'm not a big fan of avocado so there wasn't that many options for me but I still enjoyed it. There is inside seating which is good but you have to pay extra to eat in.

Food here was really good, can recommend the Teriyaki Chicken; cost is really cheap but tastes great. The venue is a little cramped though, if you're over 100cm tall or weigh more than 60kg you'll struggle to be comfortable at the table.

It seems that about half the time we go into the city we end up at Yoyogi. The food is delicious and so affordable. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. The Katsu Curry and the Okonomiyaki are two of our families favourites.

Nothing to say... The restaurant is a good choice. It is always busy and the food is always good. The value for money is good as well, that's why me and my friends go here. I love to take the different bento box that make you full with about 16 dollars. They have also beers and different kind of soups.... More

Nice, big space, unfriendly staff. Great menu, cheap, good size serves. The soup was tasty, tempura crunchy (a bit oily). Nice karaage chicken

This was the 4th time back to this restaurant and the quality and service never vary. ( excellent every time) Service from the waiting staff is prompt, the food is magnificent. We had the gouza's and the Japanese chicken curry on this visit and all dishes were sensational. Would not hesitate to visit every time we are back in Melbourne.

Our hotel the Mecure Welcome was virtually next door so when we checked out of the hotel we had lunch here. We shared Japanese Fried Rice, Katsu (Crumbed Pork) Ramen Soup and Chicken Yakitori and had some Japanese Tea with came with unlimited refills. Total bill came to a very reasonable $30 and we were both very full. Meals were... More

We ate here on New Years Eve for lunch after just arriving in Melbourne. The dumplings, katsu don & salmon bento box tasted fantastic. The service was quick & friendly The pricing was reasonable as well.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
