My mate and I had been to a wine tasting in Fitzroy and felt like moving on to a nice quiet bohemian like place, the City Wine Shop, opposite the Parliament Building in Spring Street, to share a fine bottle of Pinot Noir. The range...More

Didn't venture inside having scored a table outside. Small tables for 4 though if you are having meals. Great wine list as you'd expect with a cafe named City Wine Shop. It is a very busy spot on Spring St but the footpath is wide...More

That was what I salivated over, anyway-- friend's order of gnocchi. The ploughman's platter was pretty generous with mean and cheese, too. Coffee brilliant.

We always head here when in Melbourne. If you can nab a table in the front porch area, it's great on a winter's day. Nice location, friendly staff and very good food. Oh, and an excellent wine list.

We always have a meal here when in Melbourne and never disappointed. Wide selection, great specials and extensive wine selection. The long table at the back is THE spot to eat!

Located next door to the Princess Theatre this little wine bar was an unexpected gem. If you excuse their small selection of spirits, (as they are in fact a a wine shop!) the actual quality of the drinks made by the bar tenders is superb,...More

Always consistent. Usually visit with company but excellent by oneself. Wonderful wines by the glass..super little plates or succumb to inside space at bar or back room where one shares a table..have met some lovely people here.

Chinatown
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place
to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place

Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes
such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your
