Arrived at early sitting at 5.00pm. Thought it might take a while for our meals but came at the prefect time. Had the set menu 5 courses. Never fails to impress.

The chicken wings were really very good and I will be going back for. Great flavours and well cooked. Mains had a pork barramundi dish that had a well balanced flavours and was delicious! Also had the beef cheek which was slow cooked and very tender and had a strong star anise/clove type flavour that overpowered the other flavours and... More

We didn't experience any of the service issues mentioned by some others here. Had dinner with a small group of friends, the food and service were quite good. The restaurant has a creative flair and includes a very interesting artwork pieces as well as a fun looking communal dining-in-the-round area. A helpful hint, the Pork Bellies were the best I've... This restaurant is expensive for what is served up and the wait staff really need a lesson in waitering. A lot less attitude and a lot more attention to detail is needed. Will definitely not be back. Melbourne has far better restaurants with great staff at a lot less expense that actually make you want to return again. Not this... More

This restaurant is overrarted and overpriced. The restaurant also has a major problem with their staff, as they have become so ignorant to customers. The staff cannot be bothered as they are so up themselves. Go somewhere else and spend your money, there are plenty of restaurants with great food and service.

Was in Melbourne for a couple of weeks visiting friends, they took us to Red Spice Road and wow, literally one of the best meals I've ever had. We had the tasting menu for 4 and the dishes just kept coming and coming, service great too, a must do when in Melbourne.

A good solid venue for sharing plates with a strong chilli influence. Pretty food. Good variety of meal styles and comprehensive wine list. Plates size vary to suit all diners. Dessert selection was outstanding for a south east Asian restaurant. Great for parties of all sizes.

My husband and I attended the restaurant with a group as part of a work function. As a group we selected a range of items from the menu. All the food was extremely tasty, cooked to a very high standard ("top notch") and presented extremely well, putting it with the best restaurants we've visited. If the food was the only... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
