Very good food from Malaysian. We've been to Malaysia 2 months ago and here we found the same cuisine that we had there. Managed by Malaysian people. Very reasonable price, we spent $30.- for 2. We will definitely come back.

The food was so-so, my latest visit i had 'nasi lemak' the sambal is sweet and a bit salty, just not my cup of tea. just okay to satisfied craving for malaysian food. Nice atmosphere and suitable place to catch up with friends.

The bain marie meal which was available throughout the lunchtime was very delicious! There was a good range of side dishes to choose from to go with the served rice. I also really like the authentic malaysian drinks that they offer on the menu besides their latte, cappuccinos... Sure will go there again!

I had the cantonese mee, which was delicious and recommended. It really had a true Malaysian flavour. So any of you want to have a Malaysian meal in Melbourne, this is the place to go. All food here are halal which is fantastic.

I wanted a nice cooked meal and stumbled upon this place during my lunch walkabout. The Penag Kway Teow I had is definitely one of the worst I'd ever had anywhere. I'd suggest for the owners to take it off their menu cos it's not even close to what Penang Kway Teow is. Was throughly disappointed and can't believe they... More

When most restaurants open at 11 am, Madam Kay's Platz serves breakfast starting from 7.30am! It was a great change for us.It's very cosy and quiet. They have Malaysian cuisine like nasi lemak, nasi ayam, cantonese bee hoon, tom yam bee hoon, etc. They also have sandwiches and cakes for us to take away. But what I really luv is the... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
