As a person who have had a lot of sushi in my life, I am quite picky when it comes to reviewing sushi. And honestly, this might have been the best one I have ever had. Especially the salmon nigiri sushi was amazing.

What a gem. Although there are plenty of sushi shops in the city, this one must be the cheapest (2bux per handroll) and the busiest. The selection is great, simple and the concept really straight forward.

I love that they have unagi sushi here, as so many places do not have it, especially not in a hand roll. I particularly like the prawn hand rolls here. This is a very good spot to get some quick takeaway lunch - one of the best spots for some good sushi which is also good value! I also like... More

I have been going there regularly for the past 10 years. The fish is prepared and fillet constantly in front of your eyes can't be any fresher than that. Friendly and always smiling staff and the prices are the best in Melbourne. It never disappoints

Located in the CBD, it is probably my go to for lunch. The rolls are priced well and are very generously packed when compared to other stores. And as a bonus, for $1 you can also get Miso soup and free green tea (but I usually take my lunch back to the office as the dining area is a little... More

Sushi rolls are affordable and always generously packed. Miso soup is only a dollar and help yourself to hot green tea if you are eating in. The sitting area is small but I have never had trouble finding a seat as most people take away. Best Sushi rolls in the CBD.

At only $2 per roll, Tokui is the only one who has generous ingredients, the rolls are always packed fully. Many varieties to choose from. Thumbs Up!

This is the value for money Sushi Roll place in Melbourne, always crowded with people grabbing something that's quick. What the catch? Nothing! Always fresh due to their considerable turnover. Yet they are only $2 a roll. What a bargain!

This little eatery is in a shopfront close to the Swanston-Lonsdale corner and next to Lt Nic. It is handy for city workers and students and shoppers. I've seen cars stop (illegally) out the front while someone runs in to buy. And I've seen a bus driver leave his bus sitting at the nearby stop while he ran in to... More

Always quick, efficient and friendly. Serves the best made sushi in the CBD for only $2 for each roll. The ingredients are fresh and generously packed. I go there everyday for lunch and sometimes grab a few for dinner. Always a pleasure! They do a good selection ranging from: - Salmon with avocado, smoked salmon and avocado, plain avocado, prawn... Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
