THis was the first time we had been here and I must admit I was a little disappointed. We got the fish and salad. The service was A1 but the fish was quite dry and tasteless.

They serve 'real' tea in a pot and their cups have handles you can actually use without feeling like you're about the drop your cuppa. The lady taking... More

I read about Cafe Rojo on tripadvisor so decided to give it a go when in the Spencer Street shopping mall and we were not disappointed, good food at a very reasonable price.

Have not reviewed this popular café for a couple of years, although have enjoyed breakfast on several occasions in between reviews. Our most recent afternoon meal of Lasagne and Garden Salad was perfect. Generous portion of the lasagne, filling and tasty, and the salad full of freshness and crunch. Very satisfying for a late lunch prior to catching our rail... More

We had breakfast here before catching the train. Lovely, friendly staff who were only too willing to offer the cheapest deal. Good was cooked fresh & not left sitting in Bain Marie's. Best coffee I had for the day. Very good prices & very fast service.

Just had a feed in Cafe Rojo inthe spencer center in Melbourne. I had a beef wrap and my wife had a mixed salad. Both were unusually tasty and very enjoyable. The food is very well presented which makes choosing a challenge. Yum yum yum go for it

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
