The Yiros and souvla was pretty average. It lacked flavour and taste. Definitely not the best place for Yiros in Melbourne that I've ever eaten.

The food here is such a disappointment. Was looking forward to a nice souvlaki but was let down badly. The mean was normal tasting. I could see that the lettuce used was looking limp. The service size is rather generous but I rather quality than quantity.

Every time I head down to Melbourne I go out of my way to find this place ! It was pointed out to me by a good mate many years ago and I am glad he did. Sure its pretty basic stuff and all I order is a basic OPEN Souvlaki - the quality of the meat is outstanding, cooked... More

Used to be that when you were hungry ;later in the evenings you could always rely on a great souvlaki at Lambs. How things have changed! Sure there was plenty of meat and sauce and veggies...but it was crap. The whole thing fell apart in the bag. The meat was sliced too thick, into chunks, not shavings, and the lamb... More

Best souvlakis ever! Always worth a visit. Fantastic after a big night on the drink for a late night snack or breakfast the next day, anytime is Lambs time.

Best souvlakis I have ever had. Every time I go to Melbourne I make it a point to go to Lambs on Queensbury and Lygon. The souvlaki meat is real meat and the staff are very generous with their servings. I always have to eat them in private, though. The groaning and dribbling tzatziki all over the place probably wouldn't... More

I happened to be reading abook called Eat My Globe by Simon Majumdar (if you love food and travel buy this book!!) and two days before arrving in Melbourne I reached the section all about the city. Simon describes eating the souvlaki at Lamb's as one of his top 10 foodie experiences on his global travels. Having read that and... More

Staying in Chapel Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Chapel Street
Seek and ye shall find! Prahran is a treasure hunter’s paradise of vintage stores, upscale boutiques and emporiums. Chapel Street is a one-stop shop with specialty stores selling just about everything. The famous Chapel Street Bazaar has so many curious and vintage knick-knacks that you will feel as if you're in a huge and busy museum. By contrast, at the northern end of Chapel Street, South Yarra and Windsor cater to high-end designer labels and exclusive boutiques. The community flocks to Prahran’s organic markets as a Saturday ritual, while art and film students leaf through vinyl LPs on Greville Street. The gay community also has a strong presence here. Prahran’s heritage buildings like the Reads Emporium and Prahan arcade offer a grand sense of scale and history. No matter your interest, come feel the pulse of one of Melbourne’s most loved precincts.
