I had breakfast here and the service was great and really quick. The coffee and the toasted muesli were delicious.

We visited this cafe during a very busy "white night" & couldnt be happier with both the amazing food & great service we received which was so surprising given how busy they were. I suggest the chicken mushroom penne & the sticky date pudding...best Ive had. :)

A popular spot for us in the past. Today we were limited for time however we needn't of worried as we were promptly seated order taken, drinks arrived and not long after our breakfast. The breakfasts are of good size and excellent combinations. My hsband enjoed his berry smoothie as aklways while I did a coffee. Well done to the... More

Unfortunately the day was hot and it was hard to get a cool spit Shen we arrived. Later in the evening would have been better. Drinks were varied and reasonable. Hamburgers ( both beef and chicken) , parma and nachos were all extremely nice. Good place to visit before and after doing something else in town ( like ghost tours,... More

Coffee for one! Wine for two! Marinated Persian feta and spinach omelet on sour dough bread for me! (Breakfast menu served til 3pm). Friends both partook of Grilled Vegie sandwich consisting of layered grilled eggplant, sweet potato, onion, spinach, beetroot relish and aioli served on a seven grain toasted sour dough bread. Very generous serve! Waitresses attentive and it was... More

Had dinner here on a Saturday night prior to seeing a show. We were seated outside which would normally be a good thing but our table was facing directly into the setting sun and it was extremely hot. Food and service were as good as always at very reasonable prices

Generally stop here for supper whilst out walking through the city. Service is friendly, location is great being on one of Melbournes busiest corners so excellent for people watching! Inside or elfresco. Fed square is the heart of Melbourne. Time out is the heart of Fed square.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
