What a great spot, right on the water, great place for after work drinks or a lazy weekend afternoon. It does get busy so hey there earl to get a spot to sit. It can get a bit cold on the water so be sure to have something warm to wear when the sun goes down.

Ponyfish Island Cafe is such a fun little spot right underneath the bridge in the middle of the Yarra River. It's a great spot for a beer or two before or after lunch or dinner. They have their own beer which is also pretty good! They don't have too much seating (a few tables and some counter bar stools along... More

Very hidden gem with a great atmosphere. Good prices and a good selection of drinks. Loved the gluhwein in the Cold. Smokers welcome.

What a great find this place is, excellent place to sit and have a glass wine and something to eat. On a sunny day this place buzzes, as you have views to south bank and down the Yarra river. I enjoy sitting here with a glass and camera as i watch the world go by.

This is a perfect place to have a beer with your mates on a hot day! You just have to go down the steps in the middle of the Southgate pedestrian bridge and you've arrived at this beauty of a cafe. They offer an array of cocktails and beers, perfect to enjoy just a metre or two above the water... More

Nothing better on a hot day than enjoying a beer and sitting by the water. So close that you have to be careful not to knock anything off the rail you sit it into the river. Interesting watching the river traffic and the workers scurrying by on the banks above

Excellent little secluded spot on the Yarra River. Perfect for lunchtime or afternoon drinks. It is a small outside patio in ON THE WATER in southbank Melbourne. Watch tour boats and kayakers float by with views of the city skyline. They do serve food but who needs food when there's great mixed drinks and beer and excellent scenery!

A great location for a cafe on a bridge pier in the Yarrah River with good food and a great selection of drinks. However, a cafe that doesn't sell coffee? Say What!

Having read rave reviews about this place thought we must visit it for a glass of wine. Overrated, crowded, everyone smokes, not at the top of our list!
