Really enjoyed this place - we sat down for dinner at about 7:30 and they were super busy. It's not difficult to see why! Everything we had was great, but the lamb ribs were a winner. Not sure if this is really authentic Mexican food, as nothing was very spicy, but it was all delicious. can't wait to go back... More

Hombre is an awesome little taco joint centrally located downtown Melbourne, Australia. The food is great and the service is fantastic. Try the el secreto!

Nice venue with super friendly staff. We opted for the sharing plates which were well presented and full of zing especially the Oaxacan Zucchini Flower. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful.

Was a lovely way to spend the night. Should have had a main but we over did the dips. Hahahh always the way. Fresh homemede food served in a delightful... More

Went twice in a four week period, the first time with a large group of 15 and then with a group of 8. Both times we had the set menu which had plenty of delicious food to satisfy everyone. The restaurant has a great vibe with 80/90s pumping, cool décor and very friendly staff. The set menu is good value... More

Had a small group dinner with work colleagues. The food was a good mix of tastes with not too big portions. Music was a bit loud, but still had a great night. Waiter was friendly and on the ball.

We stopped in here for margarita or two and a nibble before our dinner. The drinks were delicious (although dear) and the guacamole was divine. Not sold on the hot melted cheese dish as I've had better elsewhere, but overall a lovely place to stop for a couple of drinks and a nibble. Would return!

A few tacos, some half decent margaritas but best of all a good discussion around mescal, agave and tequila in general with the floor manager. Very enjoyable but it appears you would need to go early as was packing out as we went

Great friendly staff, on the ball and there when you needed them. Helpful in making decision. Drinks came in quickly and food came soon after. We shared a selection and they were all tasty winners. Pace of delivering our selection was just right.

Thank Bernard E

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
