If you like Asian dumplings, wontons and rice noodles steamed or in tasty soups, then this is the place to go. The dining experience here is extraordinarily good and in our opinion represented the best value for money of any of the restaurants we visited on this trip to Melbourne. This is a cheap eats restaurant that actually serves great... More

For the uninitiated, dumplings and noodles (mein) are staple for northern chinese and rice (fan) & meat dishes are what southern chinese prefer with the main meals Northern chinese migrants have increased in Australia hence the proliferation of dumpling and northern chinese cuisine to add to diversity/choices. To eat the steamed dumpling, scoop it up with your spoon , puncture... More

A long queue down the street usually means the place is good. We joined the queue and waited 20 minutes to be served RAW undercooked dumplings, dry duck and tasteless pork.Staff not bothered when we sent the dumplings back-just shrugged their shoulders. Sorry this place does not get our vote

Had a few dishes here yesterday. The dumplings were so so, crispy fried duck dry and the Cold chicken with peanut sauce inedible. And an incredibly rude manager who argued with us when we complained. Yes this place is cheap but there are so many better options for around the same price.

We thought this would be a good spot after seeing people queueing outside waiting for the restaurant to open. We had the dumplings :)

This most unpretentious cash only dumpling place was excellent. Dumplings obviously made on the spot..most and only troubling aspect is deciding what to have. I'LL have to go back. Reasonably priced also around $10 for big serve

Came here first time with friends from interstate and we were doing a bit of wandering as you do as tourists. This was a wee walk from our hotel and we had been looking for a good place to eat. There was a small line of patrons outside and it looked busy inside which from my experience often meant that... More

There is a queue here for a reason....but it moves quickly as very efficient. I we shared a table and had very good value dumplings plus house white. I my husband is vegetarian, but still very tasty flavors. Recommended

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
