But were starving and we like meatballs. Good service but choice of loud hip hop music just too much. ...too invasive, we moved to door but so loud. Hard to have a conversation. Tasty meatball skewers.

We went there after Tony from our wine tour recommended it. The food was fabulous. We had the fish meatballs with pesto on broccoli. The only down fall was the music was too loud which makes me feel too old. The service was great, Natalie was our server. I would say this was a must go to restaurant

Managed to get a table for two on a busy Saturday night. I had the special which was zucchini risotto and pork meatballs it was fabulous. My partner had the minute steak with a side of potatoes. Great size meals, not too big not too small. Very very tasty. Service excellent. Wine list a little small for wines by the... More

the place delivered subpar meat at quality prices. we left poor and hungry. do not recommend. pasta and veggies overcooked and meatballs were of a homogeneous mass, not quite what you expect from the artesanal claim. do not recommend

Sorry you didn't love your experience with us. We're super proud of our meatballs and only use the absolute freshest and highest quality meats across all our meatballs. We'll certainly pass your message on to the kitchen though. MBWB More

No points for guessing what they serve here. Having said that, the menu is impressive, both in variety and number of 'balls' jokes. So many different way to prepare mincemeat! I think at least 2 different types of meat (plus a vego option), tasty sauces and extra bits and pieces. I went with the sliders. Good lunch specials, and most... More

This little lively wine bar has some light yet tasty combos of various meats and fish with sauces. Great for sharing and a casual nosh. It is a noisy and "close" environment (shared tables), that works.

We stopped in for a bite one afternoon without knowing anything about this place. Most of their menu revolves around choosing a "meat" ball, sauce and something for it to sit on. They have multiple options of meatballs, including a fish and veggie option if you are not a fan of meat. I opted for the pork meatballs with red... More

Perfect service. Delicious and a perfect portion size. Great atmosphere with friendly staff. Solo at the bar and made to feel very welcome. The food is brilliantly presented & completely tasty. Very well priced too for Melbourne city. Try it you will love it.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
