12 of us came for dinner here on the 23rd December. We had a set menu and it was lovely. The server was really attentive, drinks were nice and the food was thoroughly enjoyed!

Wonderful meal, wonderful service. A little noisy but otherwise the overall experience was wonderful. Ordered a variety of dishes and could not fault any of them

We love spicy Asian food and were recommended by friends to come here. We ordered 5 dishes to share amongst us and found the food to be quite nice. There was plenty of flavour. Only disappointment was the waitress clearing the table of the dishes before we had finished cleaning all the beautiful sauces from the bowls. It was like... More

Little sister to Red Spice Road she is just as impressive. We chose from the Express Menu of appertizer and choice of 3 mains. Started with the barramundi in betel leaf. Then the noodle salad (spicy), lamb randang (tender as) then what really has to be their signature dish the pork belly. Sublime. Generous serves - the 2 of us... More

Went to Red Spice Road for a Christmas dinner with a few friends and the food was amazing. We had the entree of Betel leaves with minced chicken, which was a great start. Of the 4 main dishes the Lamb shoulder and Duck red curry where the best, the meat was so tender - I will definitely go back for those... More

Our first visit to Red Spice Road will not be our last. With the most amazing food, the service fantastic and the cocktails to die for. The smells and the ambience was quite a suprise for quite a big restaurant. Lovely.

I used to like this a lot but this time the signature pork belly was fatty. That aside, being charged $3 to take home the food I paid for (another dish) is a bit too much. It's obviously because of the health & safety issues (like in some places who don't allow it).

Hi Notts_traveller, Thank you for your review and for your understanding. We are happy to allow takeaway of leftovers with a surcharge due to packaging costs. Customers are welcome to bring their own containers to take their food home to avoid this surcharge. We are disappointed to hear that you did not enjoy the pork belly. We take on all... More

A quick business lunch. Limited time, so service was nice and quick. Food was delicious. Appetisers were forgotten and eventually came late. Food was delicious though. Highly recommend the Penang curry and especially pork belly.

On the plus side the starter was good ... the duck curry was just bland and tasteless ( unlike most red curries I've ever had ) .... I expected so much more :(

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
