I came here for a team lunch and we had the banquet menu. The dishes we had were full flavoured and I liked the kick of spice that some of the dishes had. The restaurant is quite popular so it's advisable to book ahead. We found the service to be a bit on the slow side and they could have... More

Food was good, staff were nice but constantly every 5 minutes when we sat down they kept asking the same question but by different members of staff. Like we couldn't finish a conversation without being constantly interrupted. Then towards the end we couldn't get any attention from the waitresses. The decor was really nice BUT we didn't care for the... More

Ate as a party of 5. Food was ok but pricy for what it is. Very annoyed that they feel it is ok to charge nearly $6 to pay by credit card, and that was Mastercard not Amex. Won't be going back on that basis.

Hi David, The automatic addition of the charge was a tough decision to make when we implemented the system. The justification of this is due to in house research concluding that over 80% of payments in our venue(s) are card transactions. As we generally take said payments at the table it is simply inefficient to present the bill without the... More

I was invited here for lunch and we took the waiters suggestion and had the set lunch with 5 different dishes. It was more than enough, it was huge and it was a very tasty fusion of asian flavors. If we were not so much of a hurry we could have lingered longer and ate a lot more! On my... More

Having previously eaten at Red Spice in Bourke St. We decided to try this other branch of Red Spice. It was equally as good, with betel leaf and beef and also scallop starters, The crispy rice cakes, were not to my liking unfortunately. We then had a large dish of Pad Cha Goong which was great, served simply with rice.... More

Wonderful area - we didn't have a private room however were right up the back so able to make noise and avoid general restaurant noise. The food was superb, and the amount in helpings great for those with appetites. Wine list was good- not purchasing so unable to state knowledge of wait staff about. wine. IF you can ask for... More

The service was exceptional! The food and banquet menu "showcase" was great, with the beetle leave and lamb ribs for me being the stand out dishes! The waitresses wine recommendation was spot on without trying to sell us overly expensive bottles of wine.

I can't help but think I was fated for disappointment purely because of the rave reviews this place gets. How can any place live up to the hype? We had the three course banquet - and of the three meals, only the pork belly was tasty. My husband struggled with the sour wagu beef salad, and I persevered with a... More

The quality of the food and the balance of spice is spot on. I cannot fault any of the food we had or the service. From delicious food wrapped in beetle leaf to outstanding Moroccan Lamb Shanks and Pork Belly to die for, every dish was superb. Asian fusion at its best

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
