If you didn't know it was there you would walk right by it. This cool little joint is literally an alleyway between 2 buildings and with the addition of some astro turf, some tables and chairs, a food truck and a bar that serves up craft beer and hand crafted cocktails.. makes for a very unique place! I ordered the... More

We happened upon this unusual spot and enjoyed a glass of wine and pre-dinner nibbles. It's not an extensive menu but then you don't need it. There was a mix of patrons and everyone was enjoying themselves. The wait staff were friendly and got the job done. This is a great example of what you can do with some imagination,... More

Stumbled across this neat little place on the way back to my hotel and was drawn in by it's beautiful arrangements of decorations. Was planning to take a few photos and leave but then decided to stay and have a drink after being in the Aussie heat all day. Very yum but a bit pricey...

A cool little bar hidden in one of the many lane in the CBD of Melbourne. Loved the vibe, nice sounds, great burgers and they had my favorite beer mountain goat! Perfect place for a lunch.

A chilled out little outside lane way bar with friendly staff serving up novelty beers and refreshing pitchers of cocktails. Snacks/small meals available too. Good happy vibe. Include in your Melbourne exploration. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful.

My partner and I both had the pulled pork burger and it was so tasty I couldn't possibly fault it! The pork just melted in your mouth 😍

Through a friend's recommendation, two friends and I went to this outdoor bar trucked away between two buildings. We ordered the antipasto board complete with two selection of cheeses, olives, chilli pickles, cured meat and sweet wafer crackers. Throw in the pulled pork roll with apple & cabbage slaw and mushroom sanga (mushroom and cheese grilled sandwich) and we were... More

My partner and I were in town doing some lane hopping when we walked past this place. We took a double take and thought we would give it a try. Very glad we did. This place is very quirky but that's what makes it stand out. The lane is only 2m wide with a small caravan at the rear which... More

We visited here on a Sunday afternoon. Staff were lovely, sangria wasn't bad and the food was fresh. Cute little quirky bar - chilled atmosphere

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
