We chose this restaurant for my 50th birthday celebration and it was a very good choice. We were warmly welcomed by the beautiful Abla herself - the best birthday gift. The food was delicious - we had the banquet (and the garlic potatoes - so good!) - the portions were generous - extra bread was brought out for the dips.... More

One of the best Lebanese restaurants in Melbourne, by far! A classic menu, which caters for all eaters vegetarian & meat, with consistently good dishes every time. You walk in excited, and leave satisfied. The staff are friendly, and offer advise on what to order. The restaurant offers BYO, and serves only wine. It is an intimate cosy atmosphere, with... More

We made reservations, a table for three. It looks simple, cosy and homey. Though it can be noisy(depending on the crowd in the restaurant). Staffs are friendly and efficient. Food tastes mediocre but was a good experience for first timers for Lebanese food!

Easy to find, very friendly service. Authentic Lebanese food that was tasty. We enjoyed our lunch there.

Home cooked meals, a really nice staff, not cheap, but life is changing, and one change is the hidden inflation in cost of living. Skip the special collections and order precisely what you want. The food is good, ample portions, not a bad place at all. Value for money.

Recently in Melbourne on holiday with a Lebanese friend who insisted trying out Abla's because of it's rave reviews. We all loved Middle-Eastern food so it was not a difficult decision. She already has the Ablas's Cookbook and was keen to make our menu-selection given her knowledge of the food. We had the fatoush, the chicken and rice and the... More

Absolutely delicious home cooked Lebanese food. An excellent menu to choose from. Service was very friendly, helpful and they were willing to alter a couple dishes so that they were gluten free... the dips came with sliced carrot and cucumber, and the wheat was left out of the tabouleh. Still plenty to chose from if you want GF. The falafel,... More

Dinner with my beauty for valentine's day. Good food with good service. A few of the dishes were excellent and the rest were 'nice'. We had the banquet. We usually go to another Lebanese restaurant which takes things up a few notches with every dish being a standout for a similar price. If you live close bye this would gladly... More

Abla is still serving the honest, well made, generous and tasty food she is famous for. Everything we had on the night was fine; the service friendly and attentive and we could BYO. Its just that there are more interesting, innovative middle eastern options out there now....
