One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to! Maybe the best. The food was delicious and at reasonable prices. The staff was very nice as well. Would definitely recommend it!

We recently went here after reading reviews and were not disappointed! Good classic home cooked Italian food. No fancy layout, just great staff and even better food. Risotto was the best I have tasted. Share platter amazing. Everything on the menu looked amazing! Will be returning soon!

All the dishes we consumed here were top class - as good as you would get anywhere. We particularly enjoyed the smaller starters (garlic mushrooms & the stuffed zucchini flowers), the gnocchi, and garlic prawns. Service was generally very good but during some busy periods service was less forthcoming.

A true North Melbourne gem. Fantastic Italian food, great service. Place is very popular and gets booked out on weekends. I was there for early dinner on a weekday and it was packed. Try the Linguini Marinara and Eggplant Parma - both are really good !

On a busy Saturday night in the cities North my family was treated to a delightful dining experience at Amiconi. Only taking reservations over the phone, this family owned and run Italian restaurant is a hidden gem! From the moment we entered the restaurant to the moment we left, the staff were fantastic and the service was great! The food... More

I have been dining here for what seems decades - and it really has been! What a gorgeous small restaurant, usually cramped, full of noise, laughter, bustling waiters, aromas, fun .... a very special and quality restaurant of the highest order. Of course there is Michael Cardamone, the omnipresent maître d', and Michael is only the second owner after decades... More

On my recent stay in Melbourne I visited Amiconi's twice. I have been there before and it's nice to find the atmosphere and food has not changed. It has a very friendly old style Italian atmosphere to the place The food whether you choose the pasta or meat is perfectly served. On my first visit I had the chicken and... More

On a recent trip to Melbourne we were given a tip by a local to dine at Amiconi, so we booked in for my birthday lunch. It was a really lovely experience, the food was exquisite the waiter was attentive and very friendly, I couldn't fault our meal or service. This is a small intimate restaurant which was busy but... This is not a place to come to if you want quiet dining and plenty of elbow room - it's small, lively, crowded but at least you can hold a conversation with your dinner companions as you are so close to each other. The food was excellent and I particularly recommend the sweet potato gnocchi. Service prompt and friendly and... More

After nearly 45 years I went back to Amiconi. Back then you could get a hearty 3 course meal for $15. Well prices have changed but the place is still as good as it was 40 years ago Warm efficient service, excellent range to choose from and wonderful generous portion sizes. Food delicious. Highly recommended We'll go back soon I'm... More
