Great food. Nice choice of tapas to cater to all. Jamon was amazing and loved the smoke mackerel. Local scallop was fresh and succulent. Busy night but the staff were attentive and the food was served in quick order. A must try if in Melbourne

I was gobsmacked at the serving sizes and prices, the food is pretty basic, but people just seem so in awe of the establishment they think it's a privilege to get ripped off! I won't be going back!

I have not been to Movida for several years, however, if you are staying at The Westin (like I did) it's only a short walk away. My return visit did not disappoint. As a single diner, I sat at the bar. The staff were pleasant,...More

Love the atmosphere here - it's crowded, somewhat noisy but filled with life & laughter & really great food & wine. Movida never fails to please & excite the senses. Highly recommend this place & it's sister as well - Movida Aqui.

The place was busy when we went in on a Friday evening but we were given excellent service. There was no pressure to get us out the door when the meal was finished but we could see a line of patrons waiting to get in.

One of my favourites and never disappoints. Lucky to nab a bar chair as a walk in and sat and grazed for 2 hours in complete comfort. The food is spectacular, with great flavours and specials that can change hourly. A great atmosphere, spectacular foo,...More

We walked in early Friday evening after work and were seated immediately. The staff were very attentive and we were given time to have a look at the menu to decide. We couldn't really decide so we ordered one of each of the tapas on...More

Visited mid week for dinner with my wife. We enjoy Tapas so expectations were high. Place was crowded and we booked ahead with only an 8.30pm time slot open. We shared both tapas and mains. All food was excellent, service was great and our experience...More

Recently had dinner here. First wanted to say this place had some of the best service at a restaurant in Melbourne. The food was very good but that would be good given. But staff sets this place apart by a mile. They treated my celiacs...More

Hi, as the other travellers have said the menu changes regularly. Best to go online close to the time you book a table and check. Better still, call and talk to the helpful and friendly staff.

Description
When we opened the doors to MoVida in Hosier lane, Melbourne in 2003 no one knew what to expect. Here was this little bar on a graffiti covered cobbled lane near the cathedral serving Spanish tapas and shared plates in a down lit room playing funky tunes. It's the kind of place you can come in for a beer and a jamon croquetta at the bar and then move across to a table and share a plate of slow braised lamb, some patatas a lo pobre and down some seriously good Spanish red wine.
