This restaurant is tuck away down a lane, but well worth the look, dont go for atmosphere or decor, the food is wonderful, so much to choose from and such a deverse menu. The pidgeon was devine as was all our dishes, some we had never heard of before, beef ribs with mandarin sauce.

We accidently found the Supper Inn after an afternoon drinking cocktails. We had heard good things, so we thought it was worth a try. The food was AMAZING and so cheap. Whilst the décor isn't flash, when the food is that good, who cares. Service was very prompt. Worth a visit.

This Chinese Restaurant survives well against massive Chinatown competition and the reason is obvious. It was recommended to us by the bar people in the local pub and we soon found out why. Service is basic busy Chinese restaurant style with not much of a wait to get served even on this busy night. But the food is magnificent Chinese,... More

This is a hidden gem for late night night eating. Fantastic food, with many different dishes to choose from. Early dinning will probably require you to wait in line on the stairs, but either way you won't be disappointed with this Chinese eating house.

I love this place. Reminds me of Chinese restaurants in Australia years ago, always Cantonese style and always owned by Hong Kongers. Food is fresh and quality, who cares it's a bit expensive for Chinese food but come on we're talking the CBD not the burbs. I don't think this is a "late night feed" place anymore but a good... This used to be my favourite but a recent visit has changed all that. I can understand one out of five dishes is average but when one in five is ok, then there's something wrong. I have been coming for years but no more. On my last visit I should have known it had changed when the walls had been... More

I've been to this restaurant a lot but find its going down hill. Food is still the same but prices have gone up and service has gone down.

Third visit to Supper inn for me. I go to this place for food not for service. The food is tasty. Reasonably priced and the portions are not bad. It is busy and their service staff seem to struggle.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
