Over rated, over priced, service wasn't great. The guy who walks around recommending wine is to busy sucking up to who he thinks is rich & influential & they clearly got great service. They had no idea anything about us but clearly my son &...More

My daughter told me she was taking me out for a birthday lunch celebration and we were having 'asian fusion'. On a cold and windy winter day the restaurant was a really lovely atmosphere to escape into. We mentioned our dual milestone birthdays and explained...More

Confirm itself as one of the best restaurants in Melbourne. The food is just sensational. Every single dish, from seafood to meats, stands out. Great wines, mainly French. Vibe and atmosphere Can’t wait to go back again

Disappointing end to an overpriced dinner. Completely appreciate that tables need to be turned over, but when we arrived on time and ordered less than recommended to then be told halfway though our main that we had 15mins to finish and no time for dessert...More

We were lucky enough that get a table st this busy little restaurant. The staff were top notch and the food was pretty good. It’s on the pricey side but the food quality is good.

Enjoyed our late Thursday evening dinner at Coda. Loved the starters & desserts - superb! For the mains, the chicken was really flavoursome and well cooked but can do without bones. The meat was too rare for us but I’m sure others would love it....More

Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways
tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary
feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the
city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques,
throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You
never quite know what you’ll find around the next
corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and
even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air

Trendy. It's a smart place but casual. Not dressy but trendy. Some of this will depend on your age. I went with my two sons 37 and 40. I wore a jacket with jeans but then I'm a little older. Not sure if this helps at all... More

I had no problem with the way the food looked, so a photo wouldn't help. It was very well presented. It was the way the flavours worked ... or more disappointingly, didn't. But then again, I am often disappointed by... More

Upon opening our doors in 2009, we were thrilled to receive the The Age Good Food Guide's 'HatAward' and have maintained it ever since. Complementing these achievements, we are very proud of Head Sommelier, Travis Howe, who not only won Sommelier of the Year but also picked up the 2013 Wine List of the Year. Nestled in one of Melbourne's iconic laneways (basement Oliver Lane, and Flinders Lane), Coda is located in the busiest and most dynamic culinary precinct the city has to offer. A stone's throw away from the Yarra River, Flinders Street station and Federation Square, the restaurant enjoys hosting a diverse group of diners from frequenting locals who live and work on its doorstep to diners from all over the globe. Upon entering the restaurant you will be greeted by a member of our friendly team headed by Mykal and Kate Bartholomew and Executive Chef Adam D'Sylva. The trio has assembled a dedicated team with highly sought-after experience from many international and Melbourne-based restaurants. Coda's relaxed environment provides a versatile setting for a range of engagements. Whatever your occasion - from a quick pre-football meal, to a long Sunday lunch, business dining or a cosy seat for an anniversary - we look forward to your visit. While bookings are highly recommended, patrons without a reservation can enjoy the full menu at the bar.
