Love the sauce on the rigatoni, the ambience, the find and the authenticity of this place. Small selection of dishes to choose from. Paid about $36 for two dishes. Next time I'm having the minestrone - it looked delicious. Visited for lunch and left smiling...More

An iconic coffee bar and Italian cafe on Bourke Street. What a place - atmospheric with the 1950s decor and counter fittings. But don't let this retro look fool you - therein there is super coffee(these guys could teach a lot of baristas a thing...More

Step back in time and imagine yourself in a laneway in Rome. Where the barista has been crafting espressos for many years. Seated on a bar stool next to the pride and joy of the establishment, the espresso machine, I enjoyed my cappuccino in a...More

It has been around for a zillion years and one might expect it has not changed a lot with counter seating and simple Italian meals and coffee. The menu is on a brown board that hangs from the ceiling and the walls are adorned with...More

This place has been in Melbourne for around 60 years, and I think the decor and bars are from the opening day...which i love. These people are real people, serving real Italian food. It might not be 5 star - but would be hard to...More

We like to support family restaurants and the good reviews for this restaurant persuaded us to try it. A big mistake! My pasta was overcooked and the sajuce was watery and tasteless. My partners risotto was NOT a risotto - just boiled ordinary rice with...More

The most genuinely Italian caffe in Melbourne. Excellent, cheap espressos served with a smiley and a joke.

Was introduced to Pellegrini's by family and instantly fell in love upon arrival with the cute and original vintage decor! The booth seats and checkered tiles! Sat at one of the booth seats at the counter and enjoyed the experience of talking to the owner...More

Had coffee and cake with my wife after dinner. Typical great Pelligrinis atmosphere to make you feel at home. Highly recommended!

Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place
to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place
simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude
a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration

Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes
such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your

Most seating is at the bars, I am not sure they take bookings.

I do not believe bookings are available. Its a very fluid atmosphere. You walk in, are seated on the benches and stools. Just ask the staff what specials or what is good to eat that day and they will recommend.
