Just been to gourmet curry hut, great food and good service. When then said the vindaloo was hot it actually was hot rather than some mild copy. The kids smashed down the butter chicken, the father in law, who's hard to please, loved the rogan josh. Very friendly venue and approachable staff. The kingfisher beer went down well to.

We called in late after being out all day and at first we're told we could only order take away which was fine by us. Some customers came in after us and they were told they could stay and dine in. The only negative I have is that we weren't offered to dine in. We did go up and ask... More

Went with family to this cosy restaurant in town and really enjoyed the food there. Must try their butter chicken and lamb masala. Simply awesome!!! Would recommend anyone who is in Melbourne to visit this restaurant.

The mixed platter has chicken tikka & tandoori as well as lamb tikka and mushrooms; very good and sufficient quantity for two or three persons. The garlic nans were delicious. Mixed vegetable was decent. The place is open till 10 pm. Staff friendly and polite. Prices are a little expensive and waiting time could be improved.

Best Indian food I've had in a long time and great customer service! Didn't wait long for food and didn't leave any leftovers at all!

hidden in a tiny arcade, this little curry restaurant hits the spot. we ordered mutter paneer and lamb madras with lemon rice (something i've never tried before and now LOVE). all of it was flavourful and delicious. Only disappointment was having to pay $2.50 for chutney! thats too much! but all around glad we found this gem!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
