The Swan Brewery on Mounts Bay Road produced most of the beer in Western Australia (WA) from 1879 to 1966. Destroying the Swan Brewery for development would be desecration. It's now a restaurant and function centre. The Swan Brewery moved to Canning Vale in 1989....The people of WA are parochial, they would never drink Eastern States beer. The Noongar (Aboriginal) people said the brewery was a culturql site, but it was decided the claim lacked merit.By the way, the Old Brewery overlooks the Swan River, you get a great view,More

Long waiting time, forgot cutleries, served half of appetizers, charged for unordered items and finally served wrong steak. Ordered rare, first got medium and after complaining received blue rare.

We dropped in on a Tuesday and it was very quiet. Staff were very happy and friendly. We had the battered whiting and Gnocchi- both delicious. Ample room for diners and the view of city and Swan River was just so beautiful. We will be...back.More

I booked a table to celebrate my husbands birthday. We were shown to our table, ordered drinks and food. The entree took a long time to come out - our waitress apologised and stated they were busy as there was a Fringe Festival event next...door (not our problem - should have staffed appropriately). Wrong entree was delivered - staff were arguing loudly in the kitchen. Air conditioning not working - we were told that this had been the case since December 2019. It was too warm to remain inside so we asked to go outside. Had to ask for serviettes - no condiments placed on table. Main meal arrived - wrong order of sides. Husbands steak fatty and lots of gristle - difficult to cut. Waitress engaging in a lengthy conversation with two men which was inappropriate (discussion about "slap and tickle"'. We left much of our main untouched as we just wanted to remove ourselves from a very unpleasant experience. Will never go back thereMore

The food was good but for the price nothing too special. The steaks well prepared and the soft shell crabs were really nice. The biggest issue was the sloppy and somewhat rude service that did not impress. For the price paid and the location where...one needs to travel on purpose one would expect an unforgettable evening, but at least this time they failed to deliver. Three stars feel too little and four too much, but for the steaks I go for four.More

Went here for Xmas dinner 2019. Worst service and meal we have had for a long time. Don't waste your money or time. So many decent restaurants in Perth, this is an embarrassment.

Enjoyed a couple of drinks and tasty food at the Old Brewery. A gorgeous old building with small museum and different dining options on the riverfront. Visited midweek and it was very quiet, but service staff were friendly and food came out quickly. Oysters were...particularly good.More

Decent steak restaurant with very large portions. Seeing the size of the portions we decided not to have a starter. I ordered a blue t bone steak. Five minutes later she came back and asked if I wanted it medium. Very strange question if I...wanted it Blue why would I want it served medium. That said the steak turned up blue and was very nice. Go to this place if you want a steak and large mounts of food. The local cider was also goodMore

Had lunch here today. Very nice but nothing special and quite expensive for what it was. Nice location. Nice staff. Could have better/more comfortable seats.

Sorry to say this was a huge disappointment. After 1.5 hours at a table we had been served 1 drink. When the first bit of food came (a bread roll) and I got to ask for another glass of water, I got warm tap water....Butter came 10 minutes later. When rhe steak came it was tough and way over cooked. In 4 hours I was provided with 3 glasses of tap water. Overall over priced and average to awful food.More
