Lone Star has always been a favourite spot for my wife and kids, but recently it hasn't been living up to our expectations. We visit the newmarket branch quite frequently, but the food was undercooked, and our waitress Eden was disinterested at best. When my wife approached the waitress to get some more water, she was too busy chatting to... More

A group of ten diners left disappointed and one ended up with food poisoning. Will never return the service was beyond a joke (especially on a quiet night) , meals took forever to come out and all were below average.. I complained about two undercooked meals (in which one ended up sick) not once did the waitress check to see... More

We took our teenage niece Christmas shopping and thought she'd like to have dinner at Lone Star.We got a carpark outside and were able to get a table for 3 even though we hadn't booked (before 6pm). The menu includes vegetarian & gluten free options, it has a full bar but also is a BYO (charges corkage), is child friendly... More

We dined here whilst on holiday in Auckland - we have eaten at many Lonestars and this one was by far the best - amazing service and the food was awesome well done guys. The only negative for me was i only ordered 9 ribs i should have ordered 12 lol.

A large group well looked after by wait staff, both with food and drinks. Always enjoy the quantity as well as the quality of the food here.

Service great. Attentive staff. Food very average. Extremely dry and tasteless vegetarian burrito. Super saturated coleslaw. We went here a few years ago, it hasn't improved.

Had a lovely meal here at Lonestar. The redneck ribs were quite spectacular with it being charred ever so slightly and the sauce covering every mosel of the meat to make for an appetizing meal. The Apache fish was equally good with their classic tartar sauce, chips and coleslaw. And to wash it all down with a NZ Steinlarger made... More

You’ll find the Auckland Lone Star deep in the heart of cultural Newmarket. Known to Maori as “te Ti Tutahi “or “the Sacred Cabbage Tree Stands Alone”, But it actually acquired its name from the cattle markets established there back in the 1850’s.Our Café caters for up to 150 guests, and in addition, we offer a private function room that will comfortably accommodate another 55. We have a projector for sports events, and this room is perfect for that social occasion, corporate needs, or just a loud Thursday.Absolutely no need to worry about finding a park at LoneStar Newmarket- we have 2 parking buildings nearby-one right next door(entry by Khyber Pass) and another across the road on Kent Street. The Rialto and Village cinemas are a stones throw away. Children always welcome.
