As an ex chef, I realise the importance of savouring flavours and quality of ingredients. All these were in evidence and I praise Covo for this. However, the portions were just too minimalist for the money charged, as was the drinks menu. Waitress a bit hopeless as couldn't understand English very well, but very pleasant. Quirky tiny place and worth... More

Great little Italian restaurant in Auckland. I recently did a cooking course in Italy and was shown how to tell real Italian food from touristy fare. This was the real deal.

I went here for my birthday party after having eaten there before and finding it quite nice. I booked weeks in advance- a table of 13. We got there, and were promptly ignored by ALL STAFF. When we asked for basic things like wine glasses or water, the waiter rolled his eyes. When we finally received our food, my boyfriend's... More

Cute Italian restaurant, no more than 10 tables inside and great atmosphere. We created our own pizza using items on the menu which they happily did, and I ordered a gnocci and changed the sauce to be vegetarian (it originally had pork in it). They did this easily, since they make their sauces fresh to order. Everything was delicious, service... More

We dined here for lunch. The potion sizes are VERY small for what you pay for, But overall its very nice food. Just don't ask to add on Parmigain cheese shaker for pasta or its a $5 charge per person additional . But the service makes up for it :)

Small restaurant. Easy to have conversation with whole table. Staff attentive. Wanted pasta meal before half marathon - we all really enjoyed our meals. Reasonable price, tasty, good portions. I would definitely go back.

Went here following TA reviews being ok. What a disappointment!! They offer Cocktails - we ordered a gin martini but it came sweet - but went with the flow but we should have checked out at that stage. Order Mussels in breadcrumbs ok but over cooked. For mains ordered meatballs and lasagna - run of the mill for most real... More

This is a rather small and quite unpretentious restaurant. I had the seafood spaghetti and enjoyed it. Lots of different types of seafood and not drowned in tomato sauce. The server recommended a sangiovese red wine and that too was very good.

Found this great little place by accident. Staying close we dined here 3 times over 5 days. Had a nice meal with a friend the 1st night . The highlight was the calamari. The next night was a business dinner where we all enjoyed our tasty pasta dishes. The last night we tried the pizza with our staff. Great service... More
