We went back with a group for the bistro evening meal last night. The atmosphere is laid-back in the semi-industrial surroundings; the staff are friendly and patient; the live music was perfect in a relaxed style at a volume that wasn't intrusive and, with one dish exception, we all loved the excellent food. The description of the entrée a lot... More

We were booked in for a business dinner here 2 months ago. We had a set menu that we selected our meals from, the atmosphere was amazing. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Sorry I can't provide a price for the meal since it was paid for being a business dinner. I definitely loved the duck I ordered as... More

Visiting this site on Saturday morning found variety of choices, not only French cuisine site, a flea market with Spain's Paela, Turkish's humus, German's sausages, wine and cheese, smoked fish, fresh vegy, olive oil, French Cafe, and butchery, etc. Free parking, the location is a bit hidden behind Parnell main street. Good for weekend visit.

La Cigale is many things, a farmers market at the weekends, a winery, butchery, cafe, and in the evenings, a dinner venue. It appears to succeed on all fronts, mainly no doubt due to its owners frequent visits to France to bring back ideas, items for the shop and cafe and the indefinable "frenchness" of this establishment. Certainly a visit... More

There's a great weekend farmers' market at La Cigale which is definitely worth a visit when in the area. There's a variety of stalls, including some hot food available. Inside you'll find a café serving delicious French inspired cuisine and live music.

What I like best about La Cigale is that it is consistent. I last came here two years ago for two birthday lunches in a row. We had a lovely time and our ladies lunch this time around was also very good. The French Pinot Gris was heavenly. My Croque Monsieur was as expected, cheesy and hammy. A bit strange... More

If you are comfortable with sharing your food and eating experiences with many dogs, leashed and unleashed, this is the place for your. So unhygienic, so illegal. Food looks fabulous, smells delicious but - dogs! Beware of Berry Express stall holder who has two unleashed dogs that follow her into the kitchen. One is a massive black standard poodle.
