Visiting from Australia, I had a special occasion family dinner at Botswana Butchery on a Saturday night. A few of us arrived a little early, so started in the bar where the bartender was fantastic with wine recommendations. As there were a large number of us, we had a semi-private dining room upstairs that was just perfect for us. Throughout... More

Terrific location right on the water and some big comfortable seats as well as welcoming atmosphere. Starters were delicious we had some spicey pawn dumplings and a prawn cocktail. But the most impressive was the steak. I ordered the 250g fillet which was cooked perfectly. A sauce on the side is optional and probably not needed a smidge of mustard... More

We were a group of 7 and without exception, we all enjoyed our meals (the food was excellent) and the atmosphere, and the service was exceptional. It was a special night out for us, and we were made to feel special too. I would definitely return and would recommend it.

Had lunch here with friends at the end of a trip to Auckland. The service was very accomodating and friendly with a comfortable atmosphere. I had delicious fresh oysters for a starter and the main was wagyu steak open sandwich which was cooked perfectly. I will definitely go here again next time I'm in Auckland.

This was our first time visiting Botswana Butchery and it was amazing! The variety on the menu was very good. I had the mussels platter which was half normal half deep fried and they were delicious. The beef was cooked to perfection and the servers were so friendly and attentive, really polite, lovely people. Would 100% recommend!!

On our recent trip to Queenstown we had an amazing lunch at Botswana Butchery - it was a beautiful day so we sat outside, which was lovely. The food & wine were amazing and the service was great too! A wonderful experience.

As a newbie to the finest of fine dining I felt superbly accommodated at Botswana Butchery. The champagne, oysters and last but definitely not the least; the meat, served as an experience to remember! Would definitely recommend to first time Aucklander's and long time jafa's too. The atmosphere coupled with the food and drink is pretty special. Food breakdown; Oysters... More

We popped in for lunch on a rainy day in April, so the Butchery was not busy. The atmosphere was nicely congenial, the staff attentive and the food selection made decisions quite hard. There is a fairly intimidating wine list but we did not try the alcohol today. Have to recommend the wagyu steak sandwich - though $25 is pricey... More

We're locals but this was our first visit to Botswana Butchery. It was one of the most amazing dining experiences we've had in Auckland. There are lot of great restaurants in the city, with amazing food and great staff. But the team at BB gave it that extra 5% that put them in a different league. Started with great chat... More
