When staying locally we wanted to find a relaxed and satisfying place for dinner. Murphy's Law was just the ticket. The atmosphere was just like being in an Irish pub. Food was excellent and all the meals around the table were well portioned and extremely flavoursome and well cooked. Great place for couples, singles and families.

We stopped here for dinner on our way home from a trip away. The staff were extra friendly and the food was delicious...when you leave feeling like you going to burst it must be a good feed. We had the sliders and lamb shanks. The has a very traditional homely vibe. Definately a good recommendation.

Is my old local and would spend Saturday evenings in the pub. It has a very large outside area with a stage. Usually get pub food but the menu has improved over the years. The pork belly was amazing with mash. Ask for a Murphy's card to get money back if you go regularly.

Went to meet friends at Murphy's Law Irish Bar. Ordered ribs as they always used to have the very best. What a bitter disappointment. The ribs were overcooked and the sauce was revolting. Two dinners were served then after two of our party were completely finished the other two came out. What a joke! The other dinners were very average.... More

We have been for lunch and it was soooo good, Great, then took friends for dinner recommended stuff on the menu, it was a terrible dinner, Ribs had hardly any meat on them, or sauce. The steak was like rubber and it was left on plate, buffalo chicken was skinny and small, and so dry we couldnt eat them. No,... More

Great food, wonderful draft, and vintage music. Everyone was having a great time. Call for a free ride there and home.

We ate here several times whilst staying in Drury. They have a good range of beers, including Speights, one of my favourites in New Zealand. They serve good unpretentious ‘pub’ food in generous portions, so it is tasty without trying to win any Michelin stars. Expect spare ribs and chips, fish and chips or pie and chips, each of which... We had planned on visiting Murphy's Law for literally years (even when it was The Jolly Farmer) but living in Whangaparaoa at the time it was a fair old hike down to Drury. However now we are living with 10 minutes drive so now no excuse!! We have been TWO times in the last couple of weeks now. The first... More

We enjoyed our meal here. I had the fish and my partner had the pork belly. Both meals were a good size. The staff were friendly and followed up on whether we enjoed our meals. There were family groups as well as couples and singles having meals. We enjoyed the old music clips on the TV. I haven't seen Mungo... More
