We were taken here by our friends. Good ale brewed on the premises and pretty good pub grub. Typical service for an ale house but all in all a traditional pub with food. Quite busy, Friday night, outside area popular.

Been here many times before for a pint and a scotch egg, usually really good. Today the beer was watery, the chicken wings were bland and greasy, told the staff they seemed disinterested. Disappointing, There are plenty of other pubs in auckland, this one seems to have gone down hill.

Felicity as it sits i am oblivious to the goings-on and outcome of Sunday and i was one of the managers on shift which makes this situation more frustrating. Let us rectify this if you will let us and sort it out with some form of verbal communication. It is extremely regrettable and we would like to get it right.... More

Came here to catch up with friends over a few drinks. I was not drinking alcohol, and the juice was pretty good. Friends enjoyed their beers - friendly staff, pleasant place to hang out for a few hours.

A noisy place to eat dinner in a pub environment. The fish and chips were very good. The mussels and tacos were good.

well... I quite possibly had the worst customer service I have ever experienced anywhere... ever... at this place about 12 of us rocked up - we had all been at a funeral that afternoon and we just wanted some time out - the bar was very quiet - no one approached us so we took the liberty to move two... Galbraith'a Alehouse is a great, easy going place to stop in and have a beer or wine. The beer was great ( and award winning), the place had nice ambiance, the staff was friendly. It felt like an old authentic English pub - even had pub food like bangers and mash.

My wife and I had dinner here recently and really liked it. We went primarily for the beer. The cask/hand pull ales were very good. Their Russian Imperial Stout, a chilled draught beer, was a little disappointing. Not much character for an imperial stout. The food was very good. Their take on barbecued pork buns was innovative and they tasted... More

Went out for a family dinner to Galbraith's Alehouse. It was nicely set up. Had a average pub menu with great customer service and good food. They also brew there own beer so that was interesting to hear about.

We chose this place as we have had a drink here before and wanted to try the food. We took our work team here on a late decision, instead of going to the trendy Ponsonby strip. This was a great decision, the food was good honest pub food with a bit of flair, and very reasonable priced.Ohh, and the men... More
