Second time to The Grove and more times than I can count to Baduzzi, Michael’s other restaurant. The staff are very diverse, like the United Nations, and clearly they’ve hired well and trained well. Comfortable and casual service that doesn’t make you feel any pressure...whatsoever, while at the same time very precise with their movements and timing. The food is creative and an endless journey of fresh ingredients combined in unique and supremely satisfying ways.More

From the owner Michael handing us towels when we first walked in from the rain, to the care and personal attention of every staff member to provide us with amazing food and excellent service throughout the evening, this was a perfect dining experience. We had...been waiting a long time to visit the Grove and it exceeded our expectations. Thank you Michael, Cory and the team - I promise we won't preload on McDonalds beforehand next time!More

I celebrated my birthday at The Grove on the last night of our two week trip. I couldn’t have picked a better restaurant to celebrate with my husband! Michael was absolutely lovely, as well as the chef — both making us feel welcome and taking...care to explain the courses. The food was divine and the presentation unreal (I saw sea shells I couldn’t have dreamed up). Highly recommend this gem!More

Holy Batman. I’d never been to The Grove, but had a dear friend from Santa Rosa, USA, who is a real foodie,so needed to impress. He, and my wife are foodies, so I knew they would appreciate someplace special. Wow, was is a special night,...like God was mixing thing and decided to plop an incredible experience in our laps. We had eight courses, and each was an incredible delight. Almost unbelievable . And then the wine. OMG, why had I never heard of Vermintino? The best wine I have ever tasted, and grown in Marlborough, geez. The staff were that magic mix of professional, attentive and fun. Needless to say, our American friend was blown out of the water. Once in our lives, everyone should get to experience this place.More

Everything about this place is class and delicious. My friend Helena and I came for dinner and have been talking about it for weeks after. Every touchpoint was held with sentimental weight - from the waiting staff to the head chef himself serving a few...courses to their sommelier explaining wine pairings. It was so much more than a dinner, but a whole experience! Special mention to the caviar bumps, the caviar melted in your mouth like butter and was made extra special with the beautiful cart is was bought to our table on. This place is a must visit in Auckland, and I'd go nowhere else when celebrating a special occasion - 12/10!More

The Grove offers a sensational culinary and sensory experience with exceptional service. As we journeyed through their degustation menu each element offered amazing combinations of flavours that tantalised our tastebuds, making it a truly memorable experience. Little touches took our night to the next level....Our wedding anniversary and birthday celebrations are now forever etched in our memory. We loved the entire experience and can strongly recommend to others. We look forward to replicating our experience on our return to New Zealand. Michelle & Mark BMore

Look no further if You would like a trip through culinary skill and expert hospitality. The Grove head chef and front of house staff have the absolute right balance of warmth education skill and Etiquette to take you on the very best of food journeys....I would recommend the full degustation menu as the very finest example of fine food and when required wine pairing available. This was a exemplary display of fine dining served with great love and passion and a straight 10/10 for anyone wishing a unique ex[erience. Whilst some restaurants and establishments have struggled across and post Covid It is clear and evident the Grove have focused all there efforts on providing the very best service possible - Well done indeed a class act and where All the other bespoke restauranters should be looking for inspiration! My wife takes me here for my birthday every year for the last four years and this year was truly exceptional. Everything about the meal, from the cocktails to the petit fours at the end were masterful along with friendly and personable service from every...member of the staff. A special mention has to be made of the lamb "lollipop" that I think was the fifth course of the evening. It was simply the best lamb we have ever had, cooked and seasoned to perfection. Much thanks to The Grove for a truly memorable night.More

This is the hands down best fine dining experience in Auckland. We had not been to The Grove for some time and were impressed to find it was even better than we had remembered. The dining room is long and elegant and you instantly feel...transported to a cocoon of calm and relaxation on arrival. The staff are welcoming and the service flows seamlessly, with just the right amount of attentiveness without being over the top. We had the eight course degustation with wine pairing. Such a creative menu with lots of little surprises to delight. The quality of each course and attention to detail was incredible and we are still debating what our favourite course was. We thought it really added to the experience to have Cory Campbell, the chef, come to the table to explain several of the courses too. The sommelier was very knowledgeable, introducing us to wines we may not have otherwise ever thought to try, which really enhanced the meal. Even though it was eight courses, the portions were just right and we didn't go away feeling like we had over indulged. We can't wait to return!More

We came to Auckland for our honeymoon. After making a reservation on the official website, it was suggested that we could also email to inform them your reservation or requests. They gave us a warm welcome gift and we had a wonderful dining experience. The...food was made with local ingredients and was very creative. It was a great experience. Thank you, The Grove.More
