I discovered Zest by accident but couldn't get enough of the place. I stayed a few weeks in the lovely Gisborne area and made it a point to have coffee and delicious delicious croissant sandwiches every time I went into town. Everyone was friendly and gave great service. The atmospere was relaxed, clean and comfortable. THE COFFEE IS DELICIOUS ESPECIALLY... More

Stopped in to Zest for morning tea, was greeted by multiple friendly staff. The place was nice and clean. Coffee was amazing and was even tempted by a huge white chocolate and blueberry muffin. Muffin was good, but the only blueberries were on top. But would return in a heartbeat for coffee.

Stopped here as passing through Gisborne. Had good GF & vegetarian options for us. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Coffee was strong and lovely. Highly recommend.

My wife and I were staying in a nearby hotel whose breakfast offering was a disgrace. For the remainder of our stay in Gisborne we found this cafe a few minutes walk away. The menu choice was enormous and the breakfast portions were likewise. The staff were extremely friendly and the meals helped to set us up for our daily... More

Waking around Gisborne trying to figure out what we wanted to eat. And found this cafe. It looked interesting so we decided to try it. We had the Nacho special and a pie. I love pies but the nachos were great. Best ones that I have had in along time. Being from the US.

Zest is a reliable spot and I have been there often. The food is always delicious and hits the spot as the portions are large while keeping the price low. Food and coffee come out almost instantly! The owner and long-term workers are great but my only qualm can be with the other FOH - most but not all are... More

Coffee was perfect and it was soy so go you guys. Fussy gluten free and dairy free diner here and the breakfast was perfect :-) Eggs on point, beautiful mushrooms and the best hash cake I've ever had, best value for money, 11/10. Friendly staff. Easy and laid back. Good location.
