This wonderful restaurant serves tapas type food - absolutely delicious with amazing flavours. Three of us dined, choosing 2 smallish dishes, 3 next size dishes and 1 salad dish, all of which were fantastic. The restaurant itself is in an old narrow villa, beautifully decorated and has great atmosphere. The staff were cheerful and friendly. Highly recommend.

We happened in here after buying movie tickets and were very pleased. Everything was delicious, the service was friendly and prompt. Most importantly, the drinks were amazing, very interesting combinations and flavors.

My partner and I have been to Havana for drinks and live music before, but this was our first time having a meal there. We went with his parents for a birthday dinner and the tapas were incredible. I am a fussy eater and I loved everything they served us (that never happens). The real highlight (surprisingly) was the slow... More

In all the years I've lived in Wellington, I finally went with a group of friends. Definitely a destination place (hidden away) and for a Tuesday night it was humming. What a great feel - down an alley between 2 old houses (one side the restaurant, the other the bar). The service was amazing and so was the food -... More

Had lunch with a colleague. I have lived in Wellington all my life, and have never seen or heard of this place. Boy have I missed out. The whole place just looks cool. The service was superb, the food was excellent. Pricing is towards the higher end, but you get what you pay for. We had the prawns, monkfish, salad... More

Was in Wellington and saw this place just around corner where I was staying. Decided to eat there. Wasn't disappointed as was quirky with great staff and fabulous Cubian theme. Meal was great and had reasonable Rum selection too. THEN THE KICKER! I have never, never been charged a credit card fee in any restaurant in this country for over 30... More

Amazing place, great food and atmosphere. Quirky, but welcoming, possibly some of the best food and cocktails I've had anywhere (Wellington or worldwide!). Pork Belly was amazing, and the coriander just made everything on the plate pop! Music was a highlight, Wellington has it's share of great hangouts to listen with great music, but the DJ or whoever was in... More

Taken to Havana Bar by our son and we were impressed firstly with the quirkiness of the place - two old houses side by side painted loudly - then by the quality of service inside where the quirkiness continued. Not the cheapest place in Wellington but the extensive range of drinks available and the friendly and efficient service compensated adequately.... More

Wow what a find. Fantastic setting wonderful atmosphere. Very quirky. Tucked away if you feel you need to hide from the rest of the world. Only reason why I did not give a 5 star rating was there was no light in the second ladies toilet so there was a queue on a very busy night for the 1 spare... More

This was the only place we could find for dinner a week before attending WOW. I'm so glad we did! A set menu for WOW customers but the food was amazing. Small plates suitable to share and so delicious. Keen to come back another time and sample their a la carte menu. It is 2 old houses joined next to... More
