Went there for ice cream after lunch near by. Although not cheap, we had ice creams in various cones, and they were delicious. Pomegranate and Guava both highly recommended.

Gelissimo's gelato is great quality and very good value. Visited many times whilst living in wellington and I was never disappointed. Plenty of flavours to choose from (although it would be nice to have some fruit ice creams, not just sorbets, but that's just a personal preference). Service was always really quick and very friendly. Would recommend their chocolate and... More

Thank you very much for your review and also your suggestion for more fruit flavoured gelato. It's a good suggestion which we will endeavour to do. Cheers, Graham More

Gelissimo was a terrific spot for ice cream (gelato, to be precise!). It's conveniently located next to downtown attractions, and the gelato was fantastic!

Only the freshest ingredients make this inventive gelateria a must taste. Try the dark chocolate or the fruit flavours as the fresh fruit comes alive.

Great gelato made by Graham Joe, a man of great passion for food and creating gelato and sorbets. Much like I imagine Willy Wonka, Graham Joe passionately describes what goes into his creations. Fruity sorbets and creamy gelato is what you find here. A very clean store with delightful and knowledgeable employees behind the counter. Be bold and try flavors... More

This small gelateria on the waterfront is a great place to visit after dinner on a warm evening or to escape the Wellington winds. The range of flavours has no artificial ingredients apart from the colouring of the mint and would delight even the most demanding palate. The cucumber and mint sorbet was a winner as were the peanut butter... More

Went here the other day and my husband and I both got the hokey pokey gelato. I didn't get any hokey pokey pieces and my husband got one. In the past we have found their ice cream to be really good, but the other day was a real disappointment

Hi Emma. Our Old Fashioned Hokey Pokey is is made with real smashed up hokey pokey (from the Kapiti Candy Co.) which does dissolve into the gelato after it's made. This is how it was originally made 70 years ago. About 30-40 years ago, manufacturers started using hard coated toffee sugar balls instead and whilst this maintained a hard toffee... More

Always a great range of tasty gelato/ice-cream often including special flavours. Visited during Wellington on a Platter and tried the selection platters - standard options included the chocolate platter, more unusual options was the Roast Chicken & veggies meal including carrot and beetroot! Amazing how the flavours were squeezed in. The glow-in-the-dark varieties during the Light/Lux Festival were also amazing... More
