So went in for a drink and was recommended a very nice ginger ale. Staff very nice and helpful. One of the staff girls even helped me to find a power plug. There's apparently only one at the big coffee grinder. Seemed busy, nice size of space. Didn't try their food. Only thing I didn't like was the decor. I... More

What nicer way to fill in an hour whilst waiting to meet up with family on arriving in Wellington. It was wonderful sitting out on the balcony sipping wine and watching the city bustle. It was nice to make a return visit. Very good service.

We popped in here for lunch. There are two serving areas at the long counter. An a la carte menu is available with extensive brunch options plus some cabinet food. We ordered smoked salmon on quinoa with rocket. It was truly excellent. Instead of the lemon yoghurt dressing, we asked for aioli (we're dairy free). This was no trouble. The... More

The Astoria is a well appointed European themed restaurant that is one of the seemingly few decent options for lunch open on a Sunday. They roast their own coffee at Astoria and do a fantastic job of it. The food is promptly served and very tasty, with several staple items for brunch and lunch along with a few more local... More

Amazingly quick service. Coffee good and staff attentive. Can cobble your own breakfast together out of sides which is always a win.

Meet a friend for breakfast and lucky to get there before it got too busy (7.30 weekday). The staff were fantastic and the food arrived quickly. They were happy to modify my order for me. The food was delicious

A regular haunt when I visit Wellington for good coffee and in my case hot chocolate. It is always busy and has a hard layout so is not that quiet as noise reverberates. This does give it a vibe if noise is not an issue.

It was very busy so we were surprised at the speed of service... the coffee and banana & berry smoothie came out almost immediately, closely followed by the bacon sandwich. Very tasty! Good coffee too

I have had breakfast at Astoria for a few years when Im working in Wellington. Todays was fantastic. Griddle burned ciabatta toast, tomatoes cooked to perfection, two thirds of an avocado, one poached egg (perfectly cooked). Best thing about this amazing brekkie? The aioli that came on the side was just spectacular, I didnt think I needed it, till I... More

Perched on the edge of Midland Park, at the heart of Wellington’s shopping and business districts, Astoria offers a blend of grand European café culture and the quintessential bustle of Wellington city life. A celebrated atmosphere is fuelled by the café’s contribution to the popular park, particularly when the sun graces us with its presence. On colder days, loyal clientèle enjoy the cosy expanse of our vintage interior. The menu is inspired by seasonal produce, paired with coffee roasted on-site.
