Highly recommend this restaurant. The service was exceptional. I am a vegetarian and do not like if my fries are cooked with fish or meat items. The waitress checked for me and they set up a new frier for my chips - now that is how to delight a customer. Our meals were great, ample portions, and desserts were lovely... More

I like the Southern Cross, but I rarely visit. I recently heard they do a lot of vegan dishes which I wasn't expecting. We were in town and decided to pop in for lunch. Pretty busy but we were served immediately and got a table by the window. Sure enough, there were a number of delicious sounding Vegetarian and vegan... More

Another great dinner at the southern cross. Friendly service and the food was served quickly. Enjoyed the garlic bread as a starter and then had four sliders as a main - very delicious. Also recommend the sticky date pudding for dessert - really tasty.

My wife and I ate here a couple of times on a recent trip to wellington. My wife can't eat dairy and this place accommodates options for everyone even deserts and treats in the cabinets, her fav where the vegan snickers and vegan bounty. Great to see a place embracing multiple food requirements.

What a mix bag. Found front staff at restaurant unhelpful as a new customer unfamiliar with how the place worked. Absolutely loved my halloumi burger. My friends cross burger didn't hit the mark and she left half of it. The chips where still hard in the middle. Glass of wine served in a lipstick stain glass, when inquiring, the wine... More

I go to Southern Cross loads for both work-related and social visits and I am never disappointed. Although they are not the cheapest spot in the city, they do offer 100% value for money. Facilities are clean, staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the layout is probably one of the best in the area. Huge lounge and cozy seating... More

I had a wonderful meal here! I went for the lamb rump on a stone rock and it was just heavenly. They bought us some aioli sauce( garlic+ mayo) which made it so much better. What really made the whole experience come crashing down was that at the end I found a rather big bug on my hot stone. I... More

We as a family were looking for somewhere to have lunch that was kid friendly during cubadupa. The southern cross ticked all the boxes. A great set of menu's, entertainment for the kids and also very accommodating with dietary requirements.

Went early to a birthday meal on a Sunday evening and the staff were welcoming even though I was forty five minutes early. The helpful and friendly attitude continued through my visit. There were excellent, diverse vegan options (not just standard meals with meat taken out) through the entire menu, and included the "milks" available to serve with tea and... More
