1st restaurant where we had our dinner in South Island. Wonderful food and friendly staffs here. It was almost full of guests when we came here at 7:00pm, seems very popular . The porker belly is better than all of others that we tasted in the next few days. Would recommend to my friends. 非常棒的餐馆,员工很友善,分量大,价格公道。五花肉尤其做的好吃,后面几天再没吃到这么棒的五花肉了

Called in one Thursday night at around 7.30 pm. We didn't have a reservation and had to wait around 15-20 mins for a table but enjoyed a drink at the bar while we waited. Food was great - between us we had pasta, pizza, tiramisu and a chocolate brownie, wine also great. Service and price was good. Would recommend.

Just aching for a good pasta.... I was not let down - Fettucine with prawns, chorizo, zucchini, zesty lemon, garlic, and great fettuccine pasta... a great glass of Rose from the Marlborough region of the South Island ..... I was in heaven.. Aside from the food .... great fun atmosphere, constant entertainment. I need to also mention Angela from Montevideo,... More

Like your favorite pair of shoes this restaurant just feels right. A warm environment with great service and super food. Food spans all the classic Italian fare plus a few excellent dishes for those non-fans of pasta and pizza. The only criticism is that tables are very close together.

During my stay in Christchurch, Cafe Valentino was my favorite restorant that I have visited several times. My friends and I were seated immediately and served the tasty cocktails recommended by staff. We opted for the steak with was done as per our preferences and the waitress Stacey recommended a great red wine to compliment the meal. It s a... More

The best place I have eaten out at in over a year. The staff are friendly and helpful, the range of food is good, and all of it nice. So good that I went back again. I only wish that my wife had joined me on the trip (was for business)

How many times you have gone to a restaurant where you waited one hour for the table n still the manager has audacity to say " we are a busy rest. If you can't wait you can leave".. Such was our recent visit to this place where even when food was good, the rudeness of staff, one hour waiting and... More

This place is way way over rated. The food isn't even as good as hell pizza. Beer on tap was tasty but otherwise won't be in a hurry to go back.

Description
Benvenuti. Since 1991 Cafe Valentino has been one of Christchurch's favourite dining and drinking destinations, and it's easy to see why. Cafe Valentino offers superb food, an excellent bar and great atmosphere! Lunch at 3.00? Dinner at 9.00? No problem! Café Valentino is an all day restaurant. Enjoy a drink at the bar choosing from more than 35 selected wines by the glass, a superb range of local boutique beers and international beers on tap including an Italian selection. Or try a cocktail from our contemporary and classic mix. If you are a wine connoisseur try a wine from our 'Vault' collection which offers over 60 of New Zealand and Australia's finest wines including a great selection of our world famous Pinot Noir. Thirst quenched? Time for some great food! Try a pizza, the sort of pizza that only an Italian wood fired oven can produce, or try something from our pasta selection. Or perhaps one of our award winning New Zealand beef and lamb dishes. Since 1997 (except for 2012 when we were destroyed by an earthquake) Cafe Valentino has been awarded the coveted Gold Plate for New Zealand Beef and Lamb excellence. Finish off your meal with one of our delicious desserts, everything is made fresh daily on the premises. Our full menu is available on our website. We look forward to seeing you soon at Cafe Valentino. Ci Vediamo Presto
