Popped in for a morning coffee, lovely coffee and was tempted by the bagels as well when I saw one go past our table, was as nice as it looked.

I am a regular at Meshinos and enjoy their coffee and cabinet food. It can be very popular but has a number of alcove like seating spots including outdoors. Many business groups seem to meet here as well as a large group of locals. There is reading matter available. Staff are invariably pleasant.

Meshino is off the beaten track but it is a good place to meet up. Parking is no problem and there is a good range of different and tasty treats. Friendly service and good value.

This is a cafe that is unpredictable in the experience it offers. I've been here before and been impressed, but sadly this is not always the case. Any cafe or restaurant where the staff pay so little attention that your breakfast comes out wrong, especially when the place is almost empty, really needs to look at its commitment to customer... I chose the pulled lamb salad and my friend had food envy as her chicken salad was not a patch on mind. You need to book ahead as this is a busy café. Service was good.

Have been several times for coffee and morning tea. Coffee is good and its a bustling kind of place. I haven't a clue about rugby players but have been told about the All black captain sitting opposite or seen a bunch of red and black dressed guys. The slices and muffins are very average but adequate. Staff are very pleasant.

Meshino is in an unassuming part of the city, away from the main roads, although across the road from Rugby Park in Christchurch. Everytime I have been there it has been very busy; at all times of the day. Obviously very popular, but sometimes the noise can be overwhelming. For that reason we have found another Cafe that is abit... More
