The food here is great - and it's always great. The staff are friendly enough - until they want to go home. Instead of letting customers know they will be closing soon they just start rudely putting up chairs, turning off the tvs and standing...More

I enjoyed a delicious and very well balanced meal at The Kiln. I ordered the Rakiura Salmon knowing that salmon has to be cooked just right to release its full culinary potential. The salmon was moist on the inside but not underdone and the skin...More

A lovely light lunch. Great service and food came quickly. Nicely presented and very tasty seafood chowder. They even checked everything down to the last detail for one of the group who is GF. Great.

Have eaten twice here now. Last week I had a lamb and beetroot salad which was so tasty and light. My colleague had a $15 steak which came with a beer. Not bad at all

The pub has a bar feel to it but the food was excellent value. I had the Thursday night special - $15 steak dinner - and my partner had local Stewart Island mussels. Both dishes were very good. The staff was very friendly.
